Our Leaders Have Betrayed Us
American Thinker ^ | Ken Timmerman

Posted on 01/14/2021 4:27:44 AM PST by RoosterRedux

For four years, we watched with glowing expectation as our president actually fulfilled campaign promises. We watched as he stood up to Communist China, as he stripped away job-killing regulations, and as he faced down the global elites in the media and politics.

He spoke for us, not at us; and we were enthralled. We thought it could never end.

We watched Donald Trump’s popularity grow by leaps and bounds, while his opponent emerged from his basement to pathetic little gatherings of a few hundred people honking car horns.

Then came Trump’s massive election night victory, erased in the early morning hours and days to come by a flood of votes that seemed to have come out of nowhere.

I’ll wager that 75 million of us have followed pretty closely the drama of the past two months, so there’s no need to recount the claims and counterclaims of election fraud.

The Democrats can say what they want, and pound it into us with the sledgehammers of the national media and Big Tech: they still have failed to convince us that we are wrong.

It’s like that famous scene in the first Star Wars movie when Obiwan Kenobi waves his hand before the eyes of the Empire soldiers. The Democrats keep telling us, those are not the votes we are looking for. But unlike the Empire soldiers, we are not duped.

What we have seen over the past two months goes way beyond dismay or disbelief. What we have witnessed is the utter collapse of the foundational institutions of our republic.

No, Ken, you're wrong on one point, viz. we knew it was going to end. Trump was a temporary reprieve. Only a non-politician could/would do for America what President Trump did.

And I knew that whenever he left office, the White House would again by occupied by some globalist pimp like jorge busho or the corrupt negro or hitlery or ... whomever.

Our leaders have betrayed us.

Our pubic school teachers have betrayed us.

Our college professors have betrayed us.

Our press has betrayed us.

Our social media has betrayed us.

Our neighbors, friends and relatives have betrayed us.

Us: America-loving patriots. Conservatives. Constitutionalists. Most importantly, Christians. (This is Satan’s work, after all.)

I see Trump as a version of Old Testament king Josiah. A short reprieve from a judgment God had already decreed against Judah. The last good leader for a dying and decadent country. Obama was the equivalent of King Manasseh- the evil king which broke God’s patience and condemned the country.

It was clear when the Republocrats conspired to stall his agenda four years ago that we’d been betrayed. Republicans controlled the White House, Senate, and House for two years, yet still couldn’t overturn ObamaCare. All Trump could do was to reduce the penalty to $0; ObamaCare is still very much intact.

We were warned in advance:
Luke 21:16
You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers and sisters, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death.

from the article: "The GOP leadership failed to block – or missed entirely - the very real and illegal efforts by Democrat state officials, state courts, governors and non-profits to generalize mail-in ballots, hold ballot-harvesting “events” in public parks, and remove or weaken signature verification.

So well before the election, the GOP failed us.
And the courts failed us.

The Republican-led state legislatures also failed us, by nonchalantly observing this multi-pronged attack by the Democrats to remove all the fail-safe mechanisms protecting voter integrity.

The sycophantic media didn’t fail us because they [had already] abandoned their duty to inform the public a generation ago when they became the communications arm of the Democrat party.
Still, it shocked and dismayed many of us to watch Fox News join the Fake News media cabal on Election Night."

Overall voter turnout in 2020 was put at 67%, an astonishing number, the last time that number was exceeded was in 1900 election of Republican McKinley versus Democrat William Jennings Bryan = 73% turnout.

In most states, red or blue, Biden-Harris got more votes, and a higher percentage, than either Obama in 2008 or Hillary in 2016.
Nobody has ever explained how that happened, beyond idiotically waving their hands with: "oh, well, Trump himself drove out more opposition to vote against him."

Not buying it.

We elected those leaders and failed to put them out to pasture when they do things they shouldn't!

We hire the public school teachers and guide them in their jobs through the PTA and School Boards. When a 1st grade teacher is teaching 6 year olds about sex education we look the other way!

We continue to send our kids to colleges (activism schools) even though we suspect that they might get brainwashed!!

We buy the newspapers from a press that betrays us!

We sign on to Facebook, Twitter, etc knowing full well that those orgs are run by people who could and would limit your ability to express your thoughts.

Before we blame those segments of society we should blame ourselves.

Agree. We the People are comfortable, too trusting and very apathetic.

We have a republic — IF we can keep it.

Regarding “We hire the public school teachers and guide them in their jobs through the PTA and School Boards.” — It’s the NEA union that guides them both. NEA locals enjoin other union members in a district to secure NEA-friendly school board election winners.

And, National PTA kisses NEA’s ass, will never disagree with a NEA position (on “no God here”, abortion, sex ed, LGBTQ, BLM, etc.). If school’s PTA does that, the teachers will all quit that local PTA, resulting in the loss of teacher dues $$$ (a big part a local PTA’s budget) and loss of teachers’ involvement in that PTA’s activities. (PTOs are their own thing, but the local union teachers handle them the same.)

A very good comparison. I suspect that the tears ahead will be so calamitous that Trump will consider it a blessing to be out of office.

Failed to block is an understatement. They aided in those efforts. And it wasn't just the GOP leadership. It was at every level of the Republican Party.

I have been disenfranchised by these bastards. They are equally to blame as the Democrats. Just one other reason I will never vote for a Republican again.

“What we have seen over the past two months goes way beyond dismay or disbelief.”

I will argue that what we witnessed in the past FOUR YEARS was way beyond belief, starting with the weasel Jeffery B. Sessions.

Our problems with leaders begins in the Senate and then trickles down to the House. The Republican Party as a whole has in the past and continues to elect whimps and weasels to lead it.

Right now, the Party continues with McConnell, McCarthy as leaders and for what reason? Why is Rona McDaniel still running the Party? Can anyone say what these three have done to keep their jobs. Why the hell is Liz Cheney the number 3 Republican in the House, what or who did she ever do to get that.

I fully expect to see nothing has changed with these people in the next 20 months and they will be out there again begging for our money and votes and a bunch of people will give them what they want just to get stabbed in the back again. Ah, the definition of insanity!

Our neighbors, friends and relatives have betrayed us.

We have betrayed us. We prefer entertaiment to enlightenment even when entertainment funds our enemies and rots our minds. We take the easy path instead of road of hard but productive work. We prefer leisure and tolerate decadance.

Both parties cooperated on the Big Steal, same as they cooperated to abrogate the Constitution by swearing in the ineligible Kenyan from Indonesia.
