Will he get to come into the chamber and defend himself?

In one way that could be a speech for the ages. And people thought there was no way they could allow Bill Clinton’s girlfriend Monica to sully the floor of the Senate? Trump will have the whole world in his hand to tell them about a fraudulent election.

Stop the FUTILE impeachment, and get us our $2000 stimulus checks instead, you bozos!!!! They’re already “targeted”, since there is an income limit on receiving them!!!!

And while you’re at it, begin an investigation of the stolen election!!!! Invite all Senators and Representatives who voted to block certification of the electoral votes to take part, and STOP persecuting them!!!!

As God is my witness, that is the very first time I have heard or seen that story. Truly a must-see.

Thank you! And I’d invite you to share it on other threads if you see fit.

I can relate. I have been an America First Republican, not a Trumper. I always believed the movement was larger than one man. I have defended Trump when called for and criticized when he deserved it like the omnibus spending, COVID messaging, the whining & various tweets. On the merits he deserved reelection more than most presidents in my lifetime. I am very upset there’s so much still to be done and that so much will be undone by Biden & the cabal that brought peace, prosperity, freedom, dignity, safety and fairness to all Americans.

The important difference is that in Clinton’s case the charges were true, and in both Trump cases, false.

Yes. And he can place it on his shelf of proud accomplishments. Right next to his multiple nominations for pulitzers.

Jordan, McClintock, Gohmert and Issa were spot on ...Nothing, however, but emotion and invective from the Rats, no logic...But Rats don't use logic; they don't need to use it. They have for generations been appealing to a constituency steeped in ignorance, "feelings" and sloth.

Not if rule changes require a 60 vote majority.

“Among other things, they want to use this trial as campaign material against senators that don’t vote to convict.
Make no mistake, these democrats are already looking at the mid-term elections of 2022.

They are also doing all they can to associate Pence with this to erase him as a viable candidate.

In my opinion, they’ll overplay this, just like they did during the last trial.”

You’re right. The first impeachment cost Democrats some house seats but the main stream media won’t acknowledge that. This is hurting Joe Biden’s promise to “unify” the country but it doesn’t matter because Biden won’t run for reelection in 2024.

Is it just me, or do impeachments come earlier each year? --Mark Steyn

Like Eid, impeachments follow the lunar calendar. So those who vote to impeach are lunatics.

80+ votes to convict?

Where do you get those numbers?

If it is just your opinion, fine.

Here’s mine:

I don’t think they’ll get more than 58, tops.

"First Clinton, then Trump, now Trump again. None of these instances should have been dealt with in this manner."

Apples and oranges. Correct about Trump, not about Clinton. He lied in a legal deposition and lost his law license. Don't know if it was a misdemeanor or a felony. Misdemeanors are included for grounds of impeachment in the Constitution. Either way his lying in a deposition was unlawful, yet he got re-elected.

Trump had a phone call with the Ukraine President asking him to clean up that country's general corruption. He didn't threaten to withhold aid like Biden did if the they didn't fire the prosecutor investigating the corrupt Burisma company while Hunter Biden was on their BOD for no apparent reason. Sure you've seen the video of Biden bragging about it.
