WASHINGTON — Lawmakers will now be required to walk through metal detectors before entering the House of Representatives chamber in the wake of the Capitol riots.
The acting Sergeant At Arms announced on Tuesday afternoon that magnetometers had been placed at selected entrances to the chamber and reminded lawmakers that firearms were forbidden.

They need to install a breathalyzer at the speaker’s entrance . . . it’s still against the law to be “drunk in public.”
I’m thinking they will be more pissed for being treated as if they were “normal” people and not being able to skip the metal detectors. Pretty soon they might have to start wearing their IDs on a lanyard and no longer just have to have a tiny member lapel pin. Lot of future, “don’t you know who i am” comments.

They need to install X-ray machines, too. Let the pampered politicians experience the same indignities that they force on us.
