FLINT, MI -- Former Gov. Rick Snyder and others have been told they’re being charged for crimes related to the Flint water crisis, the Associated Press is reporting.
Snyder, who served as governor during the water crisis, appointed a series of emergency financial managers who ran Flint government before and during the water crisis, and has previously apologized for state government’s role in the emergency.

He’s not been governor for 2 years.
He could have, like DeSantis in Florida, weeded out the voter fraud and corruption in Detroit and elsewhere in MI but did not.

Wow. That was awhile ago. I guess in today’s political environment, anything is possible. I don’t know if he was a good or a bad governor, but I do know he was a Republican.
It’s another one of these Dim political prosecutions, which is all the Dims know how to do.
If NY state had mostly GOP state prosecutors and they behaved like the Dims do, they’d be taking the sitting governor of New York to criminal court for NY State Covid-19 nursing home deaths.

Brian Lennon, an attorney for Snyder, issued a statement after the AP report, saying they have been told “that the Michigan Attorney General’s Office of Special Counsel plans to charge former Gov. Rick Snyder with crimes related to the Flint water investigation.But the statement says that office has “refused to share information about these charges with us, which is an indication that a public relations smear campaign is a higher priority than any official legal action.”
“It is outrageous to think any criminal charges would be filed against Gov. Snyder. Any charges would be meritless. Coming from an administration that claims to be above partisan politics, it is deeply disappointing to see pure political motivation driving charging decisions,” Lennon’s statement says.
So once again, the actions of the Attorney General are leaked to the press before any formal charges are filed against Snyder.
This is how the Left works.

Except he wasn’t Gov. during this election, as he already served 2 terms. Gretchen Whitmer is Gov. right now and during the elections.
In this case it’s friendly fire.
What he could have done though is that following the 2016 election taken a long hard look at the voter rolls and other practices that were likely that good bit crooked and corrupt in Wayne County in particular and cleaned and fixed things up.
Perhaps. But now you are expecting him to have been a soothsayer to determine what will be needed in the future. 8>)
Most have been convicted for their crimes.
I don't know what kind of Gov. he was but he should not be held accountable for the false water reports he was given.
