Uganda isn’t playing around.

The government of Uganda has disabled Twitter within its borders for election interference, days after oligarch Jack Dorsey took initiative to suspend accounts supportive of President Yoweri Museveni.

President Museveni is known as a devout Christian, and has been the target of animosity from western governments and global corporations his his staunch opposition to homosexualism. Uganda’s election is scheduled for Thursday, and the state has suspended Facebook and Twitter’s services for systemic bias against his National Resistance Movement.

What’s really unbelievable (OK, maybe not) is Twitter’s response..

Ahead of the Ugandan election, we’re hearing reports that Internet service providers are being ordered to block social media and messaging apps.

We strongly condemn internet shutdowns – they are hugely harmful, violate basic human rights and the principles of the #OpenInternet.

BWAHAHAHAHA! SERIOUSLY?!

The more countries ban these social media platforms, the more its stock will really feel the burn.

Only thing that will kill Twitter is people not using it.

Need Red States to offer this option.

A North Idaho internet provider, Your T1 WIFI, confirmed it is blocking Facebook and Twitter from its WIFI service for some customers due to censorship claims.

Uganda is a Christian country and laws are influenced by the Westminster Confession. I believe a heavy conservative Presbyterian presence is there

Twitter: “Ahead of the Ugandan election, we’re hearing reports that Internet service providers are being ordered to block social media and messaging apps. We strongly condemn internet shutdowns – they are hugely harmful, violate basic human rights and the principles of the #OpenInternet.”

Everyone else: “During and after the American election, we’re hearing reports that Twitter is banning and/or suspending conservative voices, even President Trump. We strongly condemn Twitter censorship – is is hugely harmful, violate basic human rights and the principles of the #OpenInternet.”
