specifically designed to provide entertainment and moral support for the military.
The doors have been open since Oct 7 2001,
the day of the start of the war in Afghanistan.
We are indebted to you for your sacrifices for our Freedom.

Oooo, you got enough to make it look pretty.
I don't know what our final tally was but at 8:30 this morning, it was coming down pretty hard. I kinda wish it hadn't melted so quickly.

I grew up in Jax. During the summers, my paternal grandmother, a Coast Guard widow, would pack us 3 grandsons in her VW Fastback, with a picnic lunch, and take us to the swimming pools at NAS Jax.
When I retired from the AF, I bought a BMW 335 coupe for a present to myself. Her name is Luise, in memory of my grandmother: wide, low to the ground, and German-engineered.

Went through AE school there in 1959. The other school there was the AO school. No mention of whether still there or not.
We Marines lived week to week. Flunk the Friday test and it was off to the infantry.
