A high school buddy of mine lives in Costa Rica(and has for many years) told me while back he got to drive to town once a week for 2 hours to get essentials. Otherwise, stay home. Not sure of the current restrictions there.

However, hopefully, we still have the backbone to make our “leaders” worry about us. Very much worry. Afraid to leave their homes worry. Sweat worry.

Incredible. I saw the video of the family in Scotland where the neighbors had alerted authorities to the terrifying fact that their neighbors had visitors in the house (other family, IIRC). They dragged the man outside and shoved him face down in the snow and one or two of them held him there while the other two fought with the older woman in the house (probably his wife) and a couple of other family members (teenagers, they looked like).
I think they arrested all of them.
That’s what Biden would love to see happen here. Total control. The poor Brits...their problem was that they’re too polite and didn’t fight back in time, and now the state’s power is so consolidated that I don’t know what they’ll do. A lesson for us?

The fact that a government thinks it can do this is... distressing.
The fact that the Brits are allowing them to do this, is even more so.
We need to end our ‘special relationship’ with the UK. They’re not sort of country we should associate with.
I rarely get out more than once a week...health not so good.
But I would like to retain the ability/chance to get out whenever I wish.

Absolutely hilarious! The Nazis did nothing as severe as this during the years they occupied France before the Normandy invasion. If they had, they’d have been rightfully denounced as utterly oppressive conquerors. Churchill must be spinning in his grave.
The UK will soon be muslim, in any event, so none of this will matter. By that time the brits will have learned well the lesson of compliance, obedience, submission, and obeying their masters.
A Government source also told the Daily Telegraph that the current rule allowing people to meet up with one person from another house to exercise is “being used as an excuse for people to go for a coffee in the park with their friends” and will likely be scrapped.

I find this hard to believe. Who’s stocking the grocery shelves if no one can leave home? No police? No utility workers? No government officials? No one to turn on the petrol pumps? No trucks or ships, etc. bringing in or exporting goods? No farmers out tending crops or animals? Nope, don’t think so.
