I don't mind taking sh!t for what I post here. I often hate being wrong, but I was blessed with a keen sense of "situational awareness" when I look at things with a big-picture view. I don't mince words.
I damn near got purged from FR back in the mid-2000s for stating that George W. Bush was a retarded baboon and the Iraq War was an 'effing disaster. Look around here now. By 2016 the Bush name was such poison among conservatives that Jeb Bush would have lost his 2016 primary battle to a burning bag of dog crap.
When I read the U.S. Constitution, one of the things that stands out to me is that this country was never designed to have a large standing army. That’s why the process written into the Constitution for waging war involved giving Congress the authority to call up state militias for the purpose of repelling invaders and suppressing insurrections.
America’s wars have been fought and won by 18 year old nobody kids who put their azzes on the line for each other with the aid of a few noncoms.
Not by officers, politicians or the bloodsuckers who run with them.
Any who smear the worth of those common virtuous boys and try to disguise their lowlife sh-t with flowery verbiage are the true scum of the Earth and enemies of the common man.
I will scratch gravel with them anytime at the drop of a hat and bring the hat and the gravel.

No one is smearing the worth of the boot wearers. If anything, the smearing is of the command class and political hacks that view these men and women as nothing more than expendable numbers on a spreadsheet or worse, a means to personal benefit.
How is that not apparent?

There are patriots serving, and they have my respect. The PC nonsense, condoned cheating at West Point in the name of diversity, and reduced standards for some “groups” reduce the customs and traditions of military service to the point of absurdity.
I am proud to have served...but would not do it again. (My heroes are long gone)..

We didn’t saddle up for the Whitehouse or for General Dainbramage.
We did it for the next guy in the rank, who in time became dearer to us than our family back in civilization.
The guy we would throw away our lives for even though we couldn’t stand his Joejuh-Nooyawk-Deetrowit-Texican azz.
Apparently some scrods here never experienced that.
The squadbay is where I became a true American, where I saw the sterling quality of citizenship and paid the price to obtain it.
Those of you who got citizenship for free will be the first to have it taken from you.
No power of heaven or earth has the stuff that can take mine away - and even though you may turn my stomach I’d still get out there and rain on your enemies for no reward at all.
When there are none like that left your citizenship won’t be worth toiletpaper.
