UPDATE 1730 EST – Phone is a prototype, launch will happen shortly
—————————————–
The internet upstart Gab, which is threatening the entire big-tech ecosystem, just announced they are planning to launch a new Gab phone. The declaration caught the technology world by surprise, and comes at the exact moment Silicon Valley is tightening the screws on the American public, and the world for that matter.
Former Silicon Valley entrepreneur Andrew Torba left the big-tech arena in 2016 to start Gab, a competitor to Twitter. We discussed the most recent big-tech and Deep State assault on the free flow of information from his platform yesterday.
Torba has been kicked off every payment platform and even had his family’s Visa cards revoked.
Below is the press release on the new device.
If your business is built on the backs of Silicon Valley tyrants (Apple, Google, et al) they can and will attempt to destroy you if and when you become a threat to their interests.
They did this to Gab. Then Fortnite. Now Parler.
Terrible content of all kinds is available on Twitter and Facebook. Everyone on the planet knows this fact. Yet both companies are on both App Stores.
Apple banning Parler is not the neutral implementation of some objective standard, but rather a cynical, politically motivated gesture and evidence of Silicon Valley elites’ disdain for ordinary Americans.
The solution, as always, is not government. It is to build your own. People mock this meme, but Gab lives it. While others whine, we build.
Meet the Gab Phone. Yes, it’s real.
The Big Tech data mining silo must come down. We will no longer be serfs on your digital plantation. You will no longer control our digital destiny. You can’t stop the signal.
Stay tuned for pre-order information.
Most Android phones aren’t Google devices.
I downloaded Parler yesterday and today all I get is:
Hmmm… can’t reach this page
If you have a Gab phone, Big Brother can come for you directly, without having to perform any algorithmic data mining.
Ping
Parler is dead.
Amazon deplatformed them.......................
It will probably also be made in China, but I’ll still buy - we need to defeat the enemies here first.
Amazon was hosting them and they got booted for wrongthink at midnight.
Is gab a publicly traded stock?
I had a Windows phone. The problem with being “not android or apple” is the apps. Certain apps that I find incredibly useful like airlines, Major League Baseball, various fast food and delivery franchises etc. etc. simply don’t make the effort to create apps for anything beyond the two main Phone OS systems. So I got rid of the Windows phone as did everyone else. If millions suddenly owned Gab phones I’m sure those companies would make apps, but people aren’t going to buy them or keep them if they can’t interact with the rest of the world. It’s a vicious circle — IMHO
Yes but the Android OS is Google owned and operated.
Is it made in America by an American with American parts?
Parlor needs to build its own server farm. Roll you own is the way to go.
Kinda like the ‘difference’ between ‘Democrat’ and ‘Republican’.

There isn’t any.........................
The OS is Android from Google and loaded with Google spyware. Remember how Google had to admit that when Android phone users turned off location tracking/sharing, they were still doing it anyway?
Because it was taken down by Amazon do we activists can’t plot the overthrowing of America.
The only thing I use my phone for is Text and Talk, ordered a Pinephone this morning. Talk and Text works on most US carriers out of the box, just out your sim in it

Without a billion free proprietary apps to run on it, a smart phone is a pretty dumb phone
People demand convenience and user friendly devices, not useless junk, many others have this, and failed.
