While the Russian dissident acknowledged that Twitter is a private company, he noted that in Russia and China, such private companies have become “the state’s best friends and the enablers when it comes to censorship.”

Then the Russian dissident got to the heart of the matter.

“If you replace ‘Trump’ with ‘Navalny’ in today’s discussion, you will get an 80% accurate Kremlin’s answer as to why my name can’t be mentioned on Russian TV and I shouldn’t be allowed to participate in any elections,” Navalny argued.

“This precedent will be exploited by the enemies of freedom of speech around the world,” he warned. “In Russia as well.”

It doesn’t matter, they don’t really care about Russia until it’s something to defer complaints.

Dictators Will Use Twitter's Trump Ban to Justify Silencing Opponents

They already are. Here in the U.S.

They are not even in power yet, and they are dictators. Wait until they have full control of the government.

1. Putin is not our friend. He is a Communist with an image team and a makeover.
2. Biden plans to sell out America’s nuclear power to Russia late this year in some really bad treaties.
3. The election playbook they ran for a from the Putin playbook

After the stupidity at the Capital, I half expect we will see a new “Patriot Act” that will give the DOJ extrajudicial authority to squelch “seditious” speech, giving them direct authority over network providers, domain name services, ISP’s and other infrastructure services. They will silence the nutcases, and legitimate free speech will die along with them.

What we are seeing out of the Democrats is not the behavior of a legitimately elected leadership.

It is the behavior of those who are running a coup and want to stifle public communication to prevent an informed and effective response, purge opposition and intimidate the public from resisting

The tyrannical and vindictive acts by the Democrats before they even assume power demonstrate that they are an illegitimate government that will abuse their power and cannot be trusted to govern.

Can't imagine why they pursuing this course of action at this time.

It's astounding and profoundly troubling to see how quickly they are dropping the mask and letting us see them for what they are

They’ll also use it to justify nationalizing both Twitter and Facebook: They can’t risk having the executives of US tech companies deplatforming their country’s leadership.
