No, they do not.
Balding_Eagle, this is not an election lawsuit with “standing” problems aplenty. Sidney Powell automatically has standing to demand discovery by virtue of being named a defendant in a defamation lawsuit. If Dominion even tries to stonewall on discovery, the trial court will have no choice but to force discovery on Dominion. If discovery reveals facts that tend to prove that Sidney Powell is entitled to the defense of truth, the trial court will be forced to admit same into evidence and give on-the-merits consideration to Powell’s truth defense. Otherwise Powell is entitled to appeal up the chain as far as she needs to, up to and including SCOTUS, to vindicate her basic due process rights. That’s a fight Powell, of all people, is bound to win. Simply put, there is no contrary judicial precedent of any kind to justify that kind of behavior on Dominion’s part (hiding) or by the trial court (shielding). Dominion has no way to win without opening the kimono far enough to show that it’s been on the up-and-up this whole time, thus disproving Powell’s defense that she’s been doing nothing other than telling the truth.
Now that Dominion has filed its threatened defamation suit against Powell, it must either submit to discovery and let nature take its course, settle the case privately to the satisfaction of the Court, or drop its lawsuit with prejudice. There are literally no other ways that this suit can end, provided Powell does not give up, but instead fights for her rights. Do you doubt that she will fight?

Her public statements fell way over the line that shields lawyers engaging in zealous representation of their clients. Deliberately so in fact. Powell could not have been more clear in asking Dominion to name her as a defamation defendant if she had revivified Marylin Monroe solely for the purpose of crashing Dominion’s annual shareholder meeting, grabbing the mic from a scandalized little old lady from Pasadena, and breathily singing “Happy Birthday...Please Sue!
Happy Birthday...Please Sue! Happy Bithday, you dirty swamp snakes! Sidney Powell says, Please Sue!” to its Chairman and CEO before collapsing again in a heap of dust.
Without the case number and court, this is just more #fakenews.

I’m getting the distinct feeling that the Democrats are going to yell and beat their chests for a little bit to appease their base, and then ignore everything. All the left’s proclamations of late about revenge makes their ignorant base feel better, but isn’t really practicable to do. The lack of docket number, filing notice, etc suggests fakery.
Plus, if they proceed with these things they put their own lawyers and even members of congress at risk of suit for any unflattering commentary.
What part of “I doubt” supports “they have”?
Lin Wood will be only too happy to take that case for her.
Best ask if THE Company will show up in court. Seem to remember they were MIA when called in front of the PA State Legislature to make their case. Certainly, have them RSVP.
They might be expecting the courts to block discovery.🤔

Why not? Back in the ‘90s the government got Microsoft to cough up code. I would think Powell can get “Dominion” to do the same.
