There was some noise about it during the Kenyan’s reign... Even a bill or two introduced into the Assembly.

Sadly, noise is all you’ll probably get on that this time around too. Unless they do something really stupid like outlaw oil extraction or truly “come after” our AR-15’s. If DC goes too far, there will be more than noise. That bill might actually make it out of committee before it gets killed.

Just look how the Left lionized the Puerto Rican terrorists who shot up the House in 1954, and wounded five Representatives.

They got a hero’s welcome in PR when Jimmy Carter had them released.

I hadn’t considered that.

But I’m considering it now.

You just answered the question by asking for specifics. The fact that you have to ask that question is indicative of her triangulating.

Republicans have had opportunities to fix... Republicans have had chances to deliver for the American people. But we haven’t followed through.

Yep, the GOP has done nothing in exchange for their votes.

Most likely won’t vote ever again.

You could show up to vote just to write in Donald J. Trump for president. That's what I plan to do.

As for any other races, all I've seen for most of my life is just being told I have to choose the lesser of two weasels. I'm done with that.

Republicans will be down to 20 seats in the Senate in 2024, and maybe 100 Representatives. I’m never voting for one of them again. Why would we, when they have told us they don’t care how we vote, they will decide who gets to be President, take Senate seats away in Georgia, Arizona, Michigan and who knows where else, and they are ok with it. They may think that it was only being done to Trump, but Dems know they can do it and get away with it now, and they have no reason not to continue it. We are Venezuela. At least the opposition in Venezuela fought back, they didn’t go along with it.

No way am I supporting the GOP again. I am over my case of Stockholm syndrome. 42 years of betrayal has cured me of that.

When I saw that Republicans were not protecting their base voters and let them be attacked, fired, harassed, and put under house arrest without a peep of protest I change my registration to Independant. I am not going to wear a target on my back. The GOP will take your time, your money, and your vote and then give you a big wad of nothing.

Time for a new party.

It needs to die.

No more Uniparty.
We need a real Populist American Party.

I see your point but it seems to me that the “independents” are often those signaling they might swing either way. The reason money is such a master in these elections is that politicians are trying to influence the “independents” or swing voters and spend mega bucks to do so. And mega bucks come from lots of nefarious and hidden sources with price tags attached. If more people were guided by principles and were able to communicate such, the money pressure would be lessened. We shouldn’t have to be incognito about our values.

Which is why THEY are pushing for one, or both. I wondered why they wanted to mess with impeachment when he will be out in a week and a half.

96% of Congress is despicable.

i don’t think Trump will try hijacking the GOP again. too many back wounds. and it would take decades to get rid of that dead-wood down to the precinct chairman.

but many here are right! first, we need to found completely separate finances and infrastructure from the existing GOP for our populist conservative independent voters.

so candidates we support must be separately financed from the GOP. that’s how you start a third party.

i hope Trump will step into that effort first.

I like her too, she’s the real deal. The only governor to treat her constituents like adults during the pandemic-con. DeSantis saw through the con early on too.

”… and we’re all in agreement that the events that played out on Capitol Hill this week were unacceptable."

Republican Party was listed as endangered species decades ago, now almost extinct. /semi-sarc

I still suspect that the violence in DC on Jan. 6 was possibly staged, at least in part, by anti-Trump Congress.

Insights welcome.

>>repealing obamacare??<<

McConnell and a guy named boehner said they would do that if we, you and I and a lot of others, would vote them back in.

How the hell did this happen???

That's an easy one.

Any politician that could have done something about it didn't want to be called a racist. They caved to the left to avoid the label.

"THE 2020 ELECTION WAS STOLEN FROM PRESIDENT TRUMP."

Yes it was and Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, John McCain and most of the GOP leadership were in on it. I cannot withdraw my support from the communist Democratic Party but I can hurt those that actively betrayed me.

Face it, you know in your hearts that there will never be any real beneficial changes for Americans when the main opposition is the GOP. 42 years is more than enough proof of that they will not look out for their own.

The past few months has been an extravaganza of GOP betrayal of the base.

ENOUGH!
