Dominion Voting Systems, one of the biggest U.S. election equipment manufacturers and the subject of numerous incoherent conspiracy theories after the 2020 election, has sued lawyer Sidney Powell, who represented President Donald Trump’s attempts to overturn the election’s results, for defamation.
“Powell falsely claimed that Dominion had rigged the election, that Dominion was created in Venezuela to rig elections for Hugo Chávez, and that Dominion bribed Georgia officials for a no-bid contract,” the lawsuit states.
Powell didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
Dominion is requesting damages of more than $1.3 billion, saying it has spent millions on security for its employees and damage control to its reputation, and risks losses of future business.
A Dominion employee who had been subjected to targeted harassment from Trump supporters had previously personally sued Powell and others. In December, Dominion sent cease-and-desist letters to some conservative media outlets that pushed those theories, including Fox News and OAN, which led to them walking back their claims.

$1.3 billion? That’s so much more than the Domino’s pizza and McDonald’s hot coffee people got from actual injury.

I warned people weeks ago that this was coming - and was ridiculed for having the audacity to make such a prediction. This will not end well for Sidney Powell. She will likely find herself bankrupt and disbarred.

All Dominion voting machines should be seized as evidence so that a forensic examination can be performed.
I, for one, would like to this to get to a court.
From all that’s been reported about Dominion, I think Dominion would lose with an impartial jury. If there is one anymore.

Discovery will be sweet.
All it will take is for Powell’s lawyers to demonstrate the equipments vulnerabilities and it will be over. Let’s hope the trial goes public.

Which, interpreted means, “OK Sidney, sue us now....we have had enough time to destroy evidence that you will never get your hands on”......tech nerds can be sneaky that way....all props due to my tech nerd friends!! LOL
Well, her lawyer is tweeting that the girl killed at the Capitol is really alive....
so ...um....that should tell you how well this is going to go

Of course, they waited until after the stolen election to sue. Can the results be changed when voter fraud is proven finally?
The courts apparently are deep state now and will side with Dominion.

You shouldn’t shoot your mouth off. I suspect they found a sympathetic liberal judge who intends to curtail discovery.
