Quote from James Madison's First Inaugural Address. March 4th, 1798
HEY dont blame me for the punctuation. That is how they used to write.
Almost any Founding Father would be the “smartest person in the room” just about anywhere today.
Those folks “got it”.
This is one of those cases alright.
When Chairman-Erect Jao Bai Deng takes the Oath of Office all three branches will have effectively burned the Constitution and spit on the ashes.
Well, if by some bizarre quirk of fate I ever come face to face with Creepy Joe, I will address him as “Mr. Fraudulent.”
You’re off 11 years. Madison was inaugurated in 1809.
They were well read. THEY LIVED to learn. To think.
OK I will go back and check on the date prescribed.
Well then sir. The book has the wrong date down.
Aint that a cats meow.
Yup, sure as stink. They got the wrong year printed in this book.
I’m cool with it — I like commas.
Let’s eat grandma.
Let’s eat, grandma.
Commas save lives!
LOL, indeed they do.
Indeed - we value ‘intelligence’ over ‘wisdom’ too much these days.
AND, I cant find it in his first inaug’ address.
I believe it may be in one of his addresses when the bill of rights were proposed. That was 1789.
Good GAWD, do I have to back check this dam book also?
They sure could change to intent of the sentence in so very few words could they not?
Lets just put a comma in here because my mind went off to some other thought for a second.
PDQ Bach had a good one:
Throw the Yule log on, Uncle John
Throw the Yule log on, Uncle John
Throw the Yule log on,
Throw the Yule log on,
Throw the Yule log: on Uncle John!
It is taken from Letters of Helvidius, 5 Writings of James Madison 133 (G. Hunt ed., 1905), written in 1793 and it is taken out of context. It has to do with the President’s exclusive authority to recognize foreign governments and their ambassadors.

Now I have to back check every single quote in that dam book!
