Leo Kelly was one of the first men to breach the Capitol building and go inside with dozens of others. In this exclusive interview with LifeSiteNews correspondent Jim Hale, Leo talks about his conflicted feelings about what he did, and why he felt it was necessary.
OK, I watched it.
You can't be with him because he's not even with himself and is conflicted about what happened. He states that repeatedly. "Was I wrong?"
Yes. Wrong, Antifa was most certainly involved here and Antifa tactics and organization are on display everywhere.
In the distant past, I had many many occasions to be in the Capitol and in all Senate and House offices on official and legitimate business. Protesting and visiting Congressional offices is one thing, as these are not in the crucible of American history.
But the Capitol itself? Vandalism? Storming the chambers?
I don't care what the reason, this was a very intentional desecration of the United States. Conservatives don't do that. Something else at work.
"And this is why you fail..."
Relax. I was not directing comments at you.
I decided to watch it.
I'm not ambivalent, as he was.
Whichever conservatives were caught up in this obvious Antifa operation should be ashamed. If nothing else, they've besmirched the conservative movement and desecrated the seat of American government.
Do conservatives break windows, confront Capitol Police, and steal Congressional artifacts (e.g., the podium)? No they do not.
This was rabble, led by Antifa agitators and infitrators.
That was awesome!

What integrity? Like this integrity?
I should have said "United States Capitol," not "United States Government."
The Capitol (not its adjacent offices) has a special symbolic significance to our government as established by the Founders. The cornerstone was placed by George Washington.
Whomever was involved - Antifa by design, conservatives by stupidity - it was a desecration of our American history and symbolism.
It is offensive to patriots.
As is our now-sitting unelected and duplicitous "government" of sociopaths.
That's exactly how we got to the situation we're in. We have tried to do everything possible to adhere to the law while the other side doesn't.
Hillary would have cleaned Pence’s clock. Thank God for PDJT!
Fair enough.
As a patriot, I find the storming, vandalism, and desecration of the United States Capitol building which is symbolic in American history to be disgusting.
No matter who did it.
And whomever was involved, Antifa tactics were on display in almost every video I've seen.
How did that happen?
stop being such a self-righteous prick. There’s a clear difference between breaking a window and just entering into the capital when emotions are so high he didn’t hurt anybody, break anything, or vandalize. You take a shit just like everybody else so get off your high horse.
“...there is a calculated operation to pit conservatives against each other and even against DJT.”
And you just joined it.
The man in his much says there was no option but to do what he did. None of the other institutions of Municipal state or federal government or the Judiciary or congress itself word taking their responsibilities end of the Constitution seriously. Nobody whose specific job it was to care greatly was even listening.
So what exactly is a constitutionally directed citizen of this country to do when every organ of government fails?
Just sit and take it?
What extraordinary righteousness do you have to say what’s right to do next? It’s only in retrospect that we ever truly discover whether sitting on our thumbs was wise or fatal.
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn had quite a bit to say about that.
Oxymoron, posted by a newb.
There are no more free elections.
Why are you here?
Stipulated and noted.
Not entirely in disagreement.
My point is that the desecration of the Capitol building itself was impotent for conservatives, and damaging.
I'm quite certain that MANY Antifa were involved as infiltrators and agitators.
Example: Buffalo man is a known and photographed BLM supporter (and professional actor), and probably of every other subversive communist entity in the USA.
There are many many in that mob who are clearly Antifa.
Idiot. Not a newb. Been on FR for 20+ years, off and on.
Read further in the thread for my correction.
I meant the Capitol building, not the current sociopathic occupants (ie., not our current unelected and duplicitous "Government").
Real Antifa types would have trashed everything, sprayed graffiti and set fires. I didn't see any of that. Most of the damage seemed to be to doors that were forced open.
Many here and elsewhere claim that many were Antifa-types. I do not think so. Some probably were Antifa infiltrators. Some were probably just brawlers who show up at any event from either side that has the promise of a fight. Most appeared to me to be Trump supporters.
From my perspective, the House and Senate were colluding in a corrupt certification process. Considering the fact that they succeeded in interrupting that process, even temporarily, was a success. To me it seems that many people (probably including Trump) recoil at facing the reality of the situation, which is that we're going to get a Chinese style surveillance state, soft totalitarianism with a SJW intersectional façade masking a corporate fascist state. You could almost see the glee with which corrupt Republicans resumed business-as-usual as soon as they thought Trump lost, like Mike Lee's (R-India/Intel) H1B visa bill.
Since the courts will do nothing to rectify this situation, the ballot boxes are stuffed, and dissent is deplatformed and silenced, what solution would you propose?
Entering a glorified government building( which exactly Capitol Hill is) for protesting ( which has been done many times before and with the media backing it) can be considered at worst trespassing. It is not violating any integrity ( an oxymoron) of the bureaucracy.
Then you have not watched and listened to enough videos. Plenty of Antifa tactics to be seen and heard.
Example: Buffalo Man at the House (senate?) podium is a known BLM activist and has been photo'd at BLM events. The photos are out there on the internet.
>>"Some probably were Antifa infiltrators."
Do not concur. Many. Many.
>>"what solution would you propose?"
I don't have a solution. But storming the Capitol building was an impotent display that did nothing to further any conservative cause, and gave much ammo to the communist sociopaths overtaking our country.
