"He soiled the integrity of the United States Government. The other side doesn't, but "conservatives" should do everything possible to adhere to the law. This was a disgusting and impotent spectacle."

What integrity is that? We are not children who must behave while being openly and violently RAPED by those very people we've entrusted to serve us; to be the guardians of our safety & liberty and to act on our behalf to those ends.

Sorry, but I disagree with you. It is THEY, our elected officials, that have SOILED the integrity of our republic and constitution. THEY are the ones who should be in shame; shamed of their greed, power and caviler respect. Pontificating their tripe platitudes of patriotism and sacrifice when they behave as arrogant parasites and sacrifice FOR NOT! It is THEY who have betrayed us, their oaths, their office and constitution.

They are not statesman, but mere mice among giants that line the halls of congress in statues and paintings. It is THEY who are disgusting to watch in impotent spectacle as they walk the halls of our institutions holding their pious heads in arrogant display as if belonging to royalty and entitlement over their subjects.

I see no disgust in someone venting frustration and wanting to find meaning and to understand why he has lived a moral and virtuous life by god the rules and laws... and those he had trusted DO NOT. He looks for answers and inspiration that will counter his sorrow and loss; and just for a moment to feel he is part of an idea bigger than himself as HE walks the halls of his beloved capital that he was taught to believe is filled with righteous and honorable men. He needed his 'Jefferson Smith' moment. He needed to feel there is meaning and explanation to why his beliefs have crumbled and his country has forsaken and betrayed him.

He prays for tomorrow. We all do.

Read my #16. Corrected. Heat of battle.

I meant the Capitol building, not the current sociopathic occupants (ie., not our current unelected and duplicitous "Government").
