Politicization problems exist in U.S. spy agency assessments on foreign influence in the 2020 U.S. election, including analysts who appeared to hold back information on Chinese meddling efforts because they disagreed with the Trump administration's policies, according to an intelligence community inspector.
Barry Zulauf, an analytic ombudsman and longtime intelligence official, issued a 14-page report obtained by the Washington Examiner to the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday, revealing his investigation was “conducted in response to IC complaints regarding the election threat issue." In addition, he lamented the “polarized atmosphere has threatened to undermine the foundations of our Republic, penetrating even into the Intelligence Community.”
The intelligence community’s classified assessment on foreign influence in the 2020 election, which will not focus on claims of mail-in fraud or unfounded allegations of voting machines flipping millions of votes, was also submitted to Congress on Thursday. Expected in December, the assessment was delayed as senior intelligence officials clashed over the role played by China, and as director of national intelligence, John Ratcliffe sought to include more viewpoints in the final analysis.
“Given analytic differences in the way Russia and China analysts examined their targets, China analysts appeared hesitant to assess Chinese actions as undue influence or interference. The analysts appeared reluctant to have their analysis on China brought forward because they tend to disagree with the administration’s policies, saying in effect, I don’t want our intelligence used to support those policies,” Zulauf concluded, saying this behavior violated analytic standards requiring independence from political considerations.

That would make them... gosh ... chinese agents.
If it walks like a duck.
Fatal flaw of Trump was NEVER draining the swamp and actually filling it. He accomplished great things alone but never had a chance never having the opportunity to work with a strong and stable administration and GOP collectively.
Even? That's where the whole mess started.
Of course it's a reasonable argument. If the interference got that hated Trump out of office then the influence isn't undue. /Sarcasm
I think in the end Trump opened the door a bit.
The problem was always to find people who wanted to work for him, and take the arrows that came with it.
And considering those were people who were already doing well in the private sector, why would you have expected them to give it up for that?
So basically Trump was stuck with the same old DC Lifers, and he could only appoint those Mitch told him he would approve.
The story may very well be in the end, that Trump paved the way for someone else down the road to carry on the MAGA task.
Would there have been Reagan without Goldwater?
There are the Russian-Russians and the Chinese-Russians, and it is so hard to tell them apart.
There are four branches of government, obviously. Your civics class was wrong. Forget it.
The Judiciary, the Legislative, the Executive, and the Intelligence Community (foremost the CIA which operates with complete impunity). The most powerful is the Intelligence Community, which has controlled the other three, on and off, more or less, for more than 50 years. Or some would say back to the JFK assassination kickoff event.
So this news comes as no surprise. The Intelligence Community, not the Executive Branch, decide and implement foreign policy. When the Intelligence Community disagrees with the President, they do sh!t like this. And other stuff to undermine the President. And it worked! Remember the pr!ck Vindmann? He said STRAIGHT UP that the President was undermining THEIR Ukrainian policy. Chain of command, anyone? The President sets policy! But only in civics books.
Basically, we are like the old Soviet Union, now, the one from my youth in the 70’s and 80’s. It’s a delicate balance of power between the branches. In the Soviet Union, it was the PArty, the KGB, and the military. Theirs was a bit more up front. Ours is even more deceptive because our legislators and judiciary still prattle on about “seperation of power” between the three branches. They don’t acknowledge the fourth branch. Why? Well, probably because like Chuckie Schumer says, they can “screw you six ways from Sunday.” They control key judges, key legislators and undermine the President whenever they want.
And they didn’t want Trump. He was an outsider. Wouldn’t play the game. Wanted to put America First. The Intelligence Community puts itself first, has its own goals, most all of them to grow rich and powerful and pursue their own selfish agendas. How do you think these guys grow rich off a government paycheck? How do CIA guys make even more after retiring on corporate boards? It’s GD sure no because they are great at business.
It’s shameful. Worse than the Soviet Union. About where Guatemala is now, I think. Maybe a rung lower.
China wants nothing more than to keep a massive wedge between Russia and the US.
FWIW... Just keep a half an eye out for the most disgusting of all scumbags in the world. The ones that have stayed silent, but now that its all over, come out loudly about anything voter fraud. Those are the ones that need to be thrown off the top of a skyscraper...
Did Bill Ayres’ plan just get delayed by 50 years? Now they will need even more reeducation and more plans for the 10% that will never accept the new system.

Donald Trump is still our President, regardless of the overwhelming determination by the mainstream media, big tech, big corp, and political opposition to make him disappear. He won this election by a landslide; Biden is the one who has disappeared; “others” are telling us what his presidency will be, although sometimes he reads the teleprompter to anyone who might listen.
Trump is my President, and I remain confident he will have another 4 years.
Imposing Certain Sanctions in the Event of Foreign Interference in a United States Election:
Yep, they're real live patriots. Not.
I do wonder what the press would determine to be a "found allegation."
Graphical time-series election and vote data clearly showing vote-swapping from Trump to Biden isn't "found"?
Data showing negative votes which decrement the vote count for Trump are not a "found allegation"?
I know (from personal experience over many years) that most reporters are dumb and gullible stenographers, but have they not even taken a peek at the actual data?
I suspect some have, but they don't dare report it because Boss Editor might/will get mad and maybe fire them. "Stop covering that s**t or you're on the dog pound beat!"
