Vice President Mike Pence expressed anger about President Trump to a Republican senator after the commander-in-chief made the veep a target of the angry crowds that stormed the Capitol for simply following the Constitution’s rules regarding the Electoral College vote certification.
Speaking to Tulsa World after the shocking series of events unfolded Wednesday, Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) revealed that he had spoken to the vice president — and that he was furious.

Please cite even one case where a state legislature indicated that there was any problem with its electoral vote certification.
AZ, GA, WI and PA are all coming into session this week. Those letters were from those four states signed by majority leaders and some number of representatives. They wanted a small amount of time to investigate and then to do their constitutional duty and have their chamber "direct" the electors.
Now please cite where in the Constitution a governor has the power over the state legislatures to "direct" the electors.
The only two I want for 2024 are either Donald Trump Sr. or Donald Trump Jr.
Assuming we ever have fair elections again in this country again, and that’s a big “if.”
Pence is a boring candidate in so many ways.
Don't forget Pence was governor of Indiana and a supposed conservative. He supported legislation protecting Christian values until somebody said boo to him and he turned on a dime and sought forgiveness from Hollywood and the Chamber of Commerce.
I never trusted him after that. Probably likable as a person but very weak. And weak politicians are dangerous politicians.

We lost the Senate because of Republicans in Georgia who didn’t care. That directly screws me and conservatives across the country and has given unchecked power to Kamela Harris!

I thought Inhoff was a patriot when I voted for him years ago. But yesterday he voted against the protests made by senators and housemembers regarding the rotten elections in the swing states. My jaw literally fell in my lap, it’s a good thing I was sitting down.
I thought sure he would vote aye...but he didn’t.
Pence was furious? But he was ok with a crooked election?
President Trump is burning his bridges in my opinion. He knows much of the nation is ungrateful for the efforts and sacrifices he and his family made on our behalf.

This provision was written into the Constitution specifically to avoid the scenario you describe: where a presidential election is held hostage by one or more states that can't get their collective heads out of their asses. The four legislatures you cite had plenty of time to hold votes and do their constitutional duty long before the December 14th electoral vote process. They didn't do it, and they are being blatantly disingenuous when they try to stall the process at this late date.

In every one of these cases the governor didn't exert any power over a state legislature. The governor exercised power that was given to the governor by the legislature under the laws of each state.
The Constitution explicitly gives each state the authority to appoint the electors in a manner proscribed by its legislature. It doesn't mean the state legislatures have to approve the electors AFTER Election Day. The legislatures don't have to approve the electors at all. If the California legislature wants to pass a bill (and the governor signs it into law) that allows Kim Kardashian to appoint the state's electors in every presidential election, then she can do that for as long as she lives and there isn't anything anyone can do about it unless the legislature changes the law.
With the help of the Commucrats, Pence is hoping to be president for less than 2 weeks, even less that William Henry Harrison, who was president for 32 days.
