President Trump has filed two lawsuits against Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger over a leaked phone call obtained and published by the Washington Post on Sunday, in which Trump badgered the Georgia official over election fraud.
President @realDonaldTrump has filed two lawsuits – federal and state – against @GaSecofState. The telephone conference call @GaSecofState secretly recorded was a “confidential settlement discussion” of that litigation, which is still pending.

The audio published by @TheWashingtonPost is heavily edited and omits the stipulation that all discussions were for the purpose of settling litigation and confidential under federal and state law.

Yep, and putting people out of business benefits that deep state operation.
The leaker is responsible, not Trump.
You would be correct.
You forgot the sarcasm indicator.
Private phone call is not a defense in a defamation suit.
Defamation can happen when you utter words to another person on a phone call.
babble on you don’t have a clue it was a perfect phone call...
I H8 a betraying, backstabbing, turncoat, useless lying sack of 💩. Just sayin’.
Uh, have you noticed the judges lately?
Using the negative term, “badgered,” is where I stop believing the article’s worthiness.
To equate the President’s call with pestering the SoS (POS)
with minutia is beyond disrespect. In fact, it was the President being loyal to his oath on office, “To defend and protect the Constitution of the United States of America!!!!”
litigation exception to defamation...
“From what I read earlier, the two lawsuits had already been previously filed before this phone call.”
I believe you are correct.
Does anyone know which two lawsuits out of the many going on this has to do with?
My problems with the phone call and the settlement theory is that it didn’t sound like a phone call aimed at a settlement agreement.
But that may be perhaps where strategic edits come in to remove any mention of the words “settle, “agree,” or similar terms.
Maybe the Trump teams tape of the call is 20 minutes or so longer than what was released by the enemedia and contains more talk time by Trump’s attorneys.

Just for the technicality: No. Trump uttered the words.
You might argue that the leaker is responsible for the amount of people that heard those words and the ensuing racking up of damages.
This is one of the reasons Ruby’s name was bleeped out by WAPO.
Is that you, pierre delecto, you oaf?
Why don’t you head back on over to twitter you are not welcome here!!
