Senator Ted Cruz Leads Group of Republican Senators to Join Josh Hawley in Opposition to Electoral Certification
Conservative Treehouse ^ | 1/2/21 | Sundance

[snip]

As a result of Sen Hawley the republican senate is in an uncomfortable position. None of the senators would participate in an electoral challenge without the authorization of McConnell, the ultimate DeceptiCon.

McConnell knows Hawley’s action is going to initiate a roll-call vote. For McConnell to survive the backlash of We The People showing up en masse at the same time as certification is taking place, Mitch is positioning his upper chamber to give the impression of support. The action by Cruz et al is politically motivated; consider it bandwaggoning as an outcome of what Hawley is forcing upon the chamber.

If Hawley never announced his intent, this effort by Cruz would never have been initiated. However, once you accept the politics/motives involved – it becomes possible to use the DeceptiCon weakness, strategically, against them.

The upper-chamber wants to give the illusion of support to the massive MAGA audience. This means We The People who support Trump can define the rules of that support... this is the power we rarely exhibit because we -mistakenly- accept their false-face and give them benefit-of-doubt. Do not do this again, not now.

Accept the GOPe are doing an exercise in-name-only and push them into proving they are genuine. Send emails, call, and support those positioned to raise objection, while demanding the constitutional fulfillment of those expectations (promises) regardless of support from the Democrat wing of the UniParty bird. DO NOT let them deflect inaction to parliamentary processes.

[snip]

Think strategically. McConnell would not be adverse to a minority position, do not give it to him (them). Force them to take action by forcing them to actually deliver on what ‘they claim’ publicly to want.

Use the public face of the republican apparatus, despite it being false, against them, to achieve a strategic objective.

Politics 101: use the Senate GOP's corruption against them. Mitch's plan is to fake-support the Trump effort in order to fool us. This usually worked before - it won't work now. We have to bring every ounce of public pressure we can muster.

” - - plan is to fake-support - - -”

Faking support is a typical RINO strategy that’s been going on since the Bill Clinton era. This type of support is typical come voting time, promise to do or support something, then when the time comes to actually do something, do the opposite.

Does anyone have the list of the 160 congressmen that are patriots?

Very big mistake to stop the challenge if the Dems set up an election fraud commission. Of course they’ll say that and then dither.

I was wondering when Ted would figure out that Josh just hit one out of the ballpark regarding the 2024 Primary...not that it will matter, should we lose Georgia next week.

An agency, any agency of the US Government getting something - anything done is 10 days is ludicrous to even contemplate but I am very happy for the Senators and Congressmen willing to start the process of cleansing the GOP.

I keep asking myself, with the Democrats new found ability to steal a National election how would a new GOP or new Party help at all?

This really does seem like Pandora is out of the box.

Or....Occam’s razor -

Twelve senators are not willing to violate their oath of office and endorse a stolen and unconstitutional election in order to commit political suicide by stabbing their own party’s true leader, President Trump, in the back.

I suspect many more Republican senators will join this effort - and if enough do - so will Mitch McConnell.

Sure, there are a lot of Republicans who would like to see the swamp thriving again under a Democrat administration - but they must keep up appearances.. they won’t actually fight for Joe Biden.

And if the tides turn against Joe... they will be OK with that too. They will say - “sorry Joe, don’t let the door hit your bony ass on the way out.”

Sure, Sundance. And you “know” this how? Why do we always take shots at people doing the right thing?

I guess they’re too stupid to realize that there will be no Republicans in office in 10 years if the Democrats are allowed to get away with this election fraud. Right now, those in office are safe but come election time, all bets are off. They should have been standing with Trump all this time but they’re cowards. They deserve what’s coming to them. Unfortunately, most of their constituents do not.

We don’t need you Ted and your bunch of Lankford rinos.

We have a Constitutional process that Hawley will follow
and then if enough EV are challenged and Biden doesn’t have
the votes the whole thing goes to a delegation vote in the house where Republican have the majority of delegation votes.

Ted your trying to deceive us when the plan is obvious.

You guys never stopped Mueller, even though we all knew it
was a coup based on Hillary’s disinformation.

If you want to do something constructive then make sure
every last vote fraudster is sent to jail so the Dems are
crippled forever.

Also, send Mitch packing, he supports biden and doesn’t
mind sending money all over the world except checks to
Americans.

My theory was that Swamp Repubs would jump on the election fraud issue once Trump was safely out of office.

Hawley has accelerated the playbook, but this was always the GOPe plan.

"was always the GOPe plan"

Was definitely the plan of the Business Roundtable and other Swamp organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce. The GOPe is just a wholly-owened subsidiary of those two.

I don’t care what other people think. This is a good thing. Hawley, Cruz and the others should be applauded. Every little bit helps.
