23 Tennessee Legislators Call On Sen. Marsha Blackburn To Join Josh Hawley's Objection To The Electoral College On January 6

While over 140 Republicans in the House of Representative are reportedly planning to join the effort championed by Rep. Mo Brooks in the House, thus far only Hawley has agreed to object in the Senate, much to Republican Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s chagrin.

The letter, the first addressee being Blackburn, is also addressed to Tennessee’s other U.S. Representatives and Senators.

“By now you are aware of The Honorable Mo Brooks’ letter,” the letter begins. “Brooks called for a thorough investigation into the extensive voter fraud, illegal voting, and election theft reported in the weeks subsequent to the November 3rd election.”

The letter later lists “numerous instances of outright voter fraud in four states: Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, and Wisconsin.”

Among these points are:

“Yet very few of these irregularities have been investigated in a professional manner” by law enforcement or elected leaders, the letter continues. “Our nation’s judiciary has sadly shown cowardice and refused to listen to the many claims of impropriety.”

“Importantly, this request is not merely an election challenge for President Donald Trump,” the letter explains. “The law of the land in the United States has, until recently, been our Constitution. What limits on governmental power truly exist if governments may exceed those limits placed by our Constitution with impunity?”

The letter concludes, “We, the undersigned, ask you on January 6th to vocally support the rule of law,” by “joining Rep. Mo Brooks in objecting to the contested electors from those states where Republicans have offered opposing slates of electors.”

A successful challenge on January 6 could quickly lead to a contingent election, in which the House of Representatives, with one vote per state, would be assigned with electing the next President. A majority of states have sent Republican legislators to represent them in the House, meaning President Trump would almost certainly be reelected.

on Thursday

Yesterday afternoon, I along with a number of TN State Senators and other TN State House Representatives sent this letter to the TN Congressional Delegation, asking them to join in the fight spearheaded by Sen. Josh Hawley and Congressman Mo Brooks and Louie Gohmert for a fair election and to challenge the electors from PA, MI, WI, GA, AZ and NV. Widespread voting and ballot irregularities in those states undermine President Trump's historic landslide victory.

I along with the other signed elected officials are standing up and asking for a thorough investigation and a vote in the House and Senate to determine which electors shall be recognized.

And Sens. Mike Braun (R-Ind.) and Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) both said they were still weighing their options. Blackburn argued that “people are quite concerned about voter fraud and transparency” and Braun said he’s “still thinking about what to do.”

Not surprised though; she voted to override the Defense bill veto.

Can’t hurt for us to prod them as well. I’m disappointed they have to think about it. Are they part of the corruption too?

Moment of truth for the GOP. Can’t hide and dissemble their way out of this one like they usually do. They either act to save the country or they don’t.

This formal objection to the election results is the ultimate litmus test:
Those in Congress who object are Patriots.
Those in Congress who refuse to object are Traitors.
There are no fence-sitters anymore.

No, we’re more than concerned...we’re outraged. And she should be too. This is an existential matter for the republic. If we don’t fix this we’re done as a country.

But she’ll still have her cushy and secure job so there’s no sense of urgency on her part. All people like her care about is themselves.

She’s always been too squishy for me....the only time she takes a stand is on something that wouldn’t need her vote to pass anyway like the COVID relief bill. Then she’ll tout it during her next re-election campaign.

I guarantee when asked why she voted to override the President’s veto of the defense bill, she’ll say the troops shouldn’t be held hostage or some such nonsense.

I have emailed her about it and have gotten no reply. She is my senator as well as senator elect Hagarty. I posted on his Facebook page because I don’t know how else to contact him.

Yep. Those who refuse to join Hawley are just spineless politicians.

I have no doubt that Rand Paul and Ted Cruz will also be objecting. My guess is there will be 20 Republican Senators who will be objecting. They are holding their fire so their objections will have a bigger impact when it’s “Show Time”.

I have emailed Senators Rubio and Scott and urged them to join Senator Hawley.

Also emailed Congressman Rutherford.

CRICKETS!

I plan to call them Monday.

I have to think she will do the right thing in the end. She's so much better then Lamar or Corker ever were. But Haggarty is another story. He's been so quiet on this I suspect he's another squishy RINO that will be outed.
