I hope to see the great Governor of South Dakota @KristiNoem, run against RINO @SenJohnThune, in the upcoming 2022 Primary. She would do a fantastic job in the U.S. Senate, but if not Kristi, others are already lining up. South Dakota wants strong leadership, NOW! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 1, 2021

Thune used to be a much better above average Republican Senator. Wonder what they have on him?

No governor with an ounce of self respect would ever want to be a U.S. Senator.

I’m not Chris Christie’s biggest fan, but he sure had it right on this one. When a reporter asked him why he didn’t want to run for the Senate after his term as governor in New Jersey ended, he said: “I wouldn’t last half a day in the Senate before I walked out and drowned myself in the Potomac River.”

I sent Thune $50 to defeat tiny Tom Daschle. Money well spent. After 2 terms he was like he rest of them. Noem is happy where she is so who will step up?

Thune himself was cheated out of the 2002 Senatorial election in which the Indian Reservations ended up giving Johnson the win.

How can Republicans not see what's going on? They live in this world where things will return back to normal should Biden somehow prevail and conservatives will go back to attending their CPAC rallies and donate to their PACs and listening to their GOP strategists.

Conservatives know that if Trump doesn't succeed, it's game over. The U.S. will become what CA is now, completely under Dem control with RINOs providing token opposition.

Yes. This is what needs to happen. A full court press to oust RINO senators. President Trump needs to take the lead. No matter what the end result of this election is, the RINOs need to pay a price. I detest them (and the people who voted for them).

Thune was actually a target of election fraud himself in 2002.
Instead of fighting the obvious election fraud, he conceded and run and won two years later.
I guess that is how he addresses election fraud?!

My two cents! If Biden does become immaculate into the Presidency, Trump will not go away. He will constantly stir the elitist swamp and do the best he can to make life miserable for them.

And, he will still have his supporters.

Thune doesn’t know what he did to deserve this treatment?

How could he possibly be so out of touch.

Something very phony about Thune - could never stand him.

I would try to find out where he's getting his money - there you'll find his Trump-hate.

He won a 2nd term.
At the 10 year mark they are “absorbed” into the “system” if they don’t already start out that way (Rats start out that way!) Usually they don’t realize it. The “system” consists of the “Beltway interests”, “their personal interests” so very little is left over - “crumbs” for their state or congressional district interests.

Never happen, I believed she's already discussed not running for higher office.

She's a smart country girl and wants no part of the DC swamp.

"No governor with an ounce of self respect would ever want to be a U.S. Senator."

I was originally going to say she can do more for the State as Governor, but she's in her first four-year term, having taken the seat in January 2019, and can only run once more. That means she'll have 4 more years if re-elected in two years. Compare that with a Senatorial seat of 6 years, and no term limits, then it makes you think that maybe she'd be better off running for Senator.

The Senate is a tough nut to crack because of the six-year terms. Replacing the Deep Staters will take time, it’s much quicker and easier to focus on the House for 2022.

I like DeSantis. Being Governor of Florida is good prep for the White House.

He’s going to have a tough fight to get re-elected in 2022, I suspect he will be the Rats’ number one target, but if he survives, he’s bullet-proof for 2024.
