Remember all security begins locally. The people you know and grew up with. Get the local government on board if possible. Create a local militia that works with the local LEOs. Get any vets to set you up with a military organization. There are a lot of functions that can be done that are non-militia like such as EM personnel, Fire personnel, Volunteer work. Like the reserves meet one weekend a month to practice tactical operations. Reach out and work with other regional militias to coordinate operations. I am sure that they’re others that have more to add.
