You have a weather dome over your area like we do. LOL! It’s been raining and snowing all around you but little moves over town. I’ve seen that on our radar soooooo many times over the years.
I made up a story almost 30 years ago about the AF base nearby generating a force field that created a weather dome over the area so bad weather wouldn’t affect some of their testing. I told friends to watch the radar and they’d see for themselves how rain and storms would move in and go around us. It happened so often that a lot of them believed me. LOL
It still happens a lot and every now and then a friend will bring up the weather dome. It’s a story that stuck. :-)
