I mentioned that very episode to my sister and her family over Christmas dinner last week. Her kids are younger (oldest is 15) and were only vaguely familiar with the Twilight Zone. I briefly summarized “Monsters are Due on Maple Street,” and how it relates to COVID paranoia, and the kids were going to find it and watch it.
These idiot Karen’s are calling the hospital on people driving with out a mask!? How dare you not virtue signal you care by wearing a mask alone in your car.
I’ve been to Nantucket. Did it once, don’t need to do it again.
The island’s history is awesome. In the 1600s the local indians taught them about harvesting washed up whales. By the 1700s the islanders put poles in the sand around the island and used spotters and runners to alert local whaling boats of whale pods offshore. By mid-1700s it was a global commercial industry until the British commandeered the whale boats during the war. It was the first whaling industry in the colonies but New Bedford over took it later for domestic distribution.
The great fire of 1846 devastated the downtown whale oil processing. On a hot summer day you can go to the intersection of Washington and Main streets and still smell the scent of whale oil in the storm water drain there.
I doubt any in here recall D.W. Griffith’s iconic early film “Birth of a Nation”.
I’m pulling together a script for a video to be called “DEATH of a Nation” and would appreciate your help compiling a list of the events that have led us to the impending end of America. Thank you.
From what I know about the off season population of Nantucket I can tell you they're more worried about running out of booze than running out of food.
Love this story. Not as much as the eelariiaaa Baldwin fake Spanish person story, but love it none the less.
Binky, was that the Compost-Heapes at the polo grounds with out masks?
Yes, Muffy. Tragic how they’ve fallen in social circles. I don’t expect we will hear from them next season....
awesome. Thanks for the info. Never been there but sounds like a great place to visit.
Couldn’t happen to a better bunch of elitist leftists
Rich white liberals are the worst people in the world.
LOL!...there once was a man...Why do I find it entertaining to watch snobby commie libs fighting each other? I must be a cynic...or just really hate yankees!
Most “Karens” are in my age range. I always tell my young friends and relatives that as bad as these women are now they were even worse when they were 15.
Yes they are. By a HUGE margin over any other demographic other than violent criminals and molesters.
I think I know what you did there.
Correction to my Comment #20:
IOW, between 3% and 20% of the positive test results are false just due to the unreliability of the test itself SHOULD READ:
IOW, only between 3% and 20% of the positive test results are actually positive just due to the unreliability of the test itself. Between 80% to 97% of the results are false positives and aren't reliable as a result.
Sorry about that.
There once was a Lib from Nantucket
Whose head was as big as a Bucket
They called him “John Kerry”
We know he’s a Fairy
And now Biden’s got him a Muppet!
Most of the people who live there year round are blue collar. The summer residents are the elites. Because of the virus lots of those residents from NYC and CT. decided to stay just like they did in the Hamptons.
Garbage article.........most year round residents are far from rich.
