Chicago? Concealed carry permit? He must know someone.
That wasn’t too far from my dad’s old neighborhood in Chicongo. It’s changed a lot since he lived there, and not for the better.
People in Chicago can get permits, if they work at it. No special need required.
The City government has made it hard to do, because there are no legal ranges in the city.
Chicago cannot block permits.
“There are now more than 2.2 million Illinois residents with FOID cards, a number that has nearly doubled over the past decade, according to state police data. The number of concealed carry licenses has swelled from 90,301 in 2014 to 343,299 in 2020”
Despite the efforts of Chicago, a suburban CCW license is good there too.
What a waste to have to use that second round.
As a consolation prize, the dead robber will get to vote in future Chicago elections.
Still, don't you love a story with a happy ending? And don't you wonder what kind of stupid $#*+ robs a cell phone store? The would get more cash by attending church and running out with the collection plate.
I carry.
I would not shoot someone robbing somebody’s cell phone store, were I there.
I’d be ready to shoot if the situation escalated,
but I would not shoot just to take out the robber.
Another freelance socialist bites the dust.
Not at our church. We carry.
The suspect was armed. We’re getting a snippet of the story, so we don’t really know what went down.
Same here
Double Tap is the rule to live by.
I agree. To me, carry is defensive in nature. Going on the offensive to protect someone else's property is above why I would carry. BUT if any threat turned in my direction or family or friends, the response would be to immediately stop that treat.
How much cash does a cell phone store have? People pay for their phones through a "plan", not cash. You can't really steal a cell phone because you can't activate it once it is reported stolen.
metro pcs is a prepaid cell phone provider...
the stores are where many customers pay their phone bills...
there’s a lot of cash in those stores...
off duty cop, I’m guessing
Let the investigation and court proceedings against the citizen hero begin...
Charged with murder as victim was only holding a cell phone. /s
