Bill Gates is now best known as a philanthropist, not the guy who started Microsoft or was the avatar for everyone's annoyance with Windows 95.
He's also known for wanting to save us from ourselves.
Now, apparently, he wants to save us from the sun.
However, while you may have been paying attention to his efforts on vaccination and lockdowns, you may not have noticed that one of Gates' most controversial causes just got a go-ahead: A project that would help block out the sun.
According to Reuters, a Harvard University project plans to test out a controversial theory that global warming can be stopped by spraying particles into the atmosphere that would reflect the sun's rays.

This would be a crime against God and Humanity.
Tower of Babel redux
They are trying to recreate the industrial revolution without the coal.
Good Grief.
Does anyone have an image of Simon bar sinister?
What could possibly go wrong... Anyway, better than a carbon tax.
Gates might do well to remember the tale of Icarus. In any event the sun is a star. A common garden variety sized star as stars go but a star none the less.
A giant nuclear furnace converting massive amounts of hydrogen into helium and other elements every minute of the day.
God laughs at Gates, a puny mortal who would attempt to dim the light of one of HIS creations.
no soup for you- the earth is melting
Hey Bill! Did you ever hear of the Ice Age?
"A! the Trees of Light, tall and shapely, gold and silver, more glorious than the sun"
The Two Trees of Valinor are Telperion and Laurelin, the Silver Tree and the Gold that brought light to the Land of the Valar in ancient times. They were destroyed by Melkor and Ungoliant, but their last flower and fruit were made by the Valar into the Moon and the Sun.
Yes, they are..

You got 14th century indentured slavery.
You got County lords of the manor
That is what they planned for and have achieved.
This Gates fellow is pretty dangerous.
Good point.
Sir Boss.
“by spraying particles into the atmosphere that would reflect the sun’s rays.”
Duh... sounds like pollution to me..
Evil and demonic hate the light.
That’ll be a real boost to our solar energy production.
Let’s see......
Less sunlight means cooler temperatures, which means reduced growing seasons and food production, and increased heating costs, which, if they get rid of oil and coal, means more dependency on wind and solar.
But electricity production from solar will be cut so that means more dependency on wind power for the electricity production and increased demand on the one remaining energy producing source.
Not to mention that they don’t know if it’s going to work, how much it’s going to work, and if they will be able to control it.
What if it works too well and they can’t stop it? How do they get the particles out of the atmosphere when it goes awry?
The man may be rich but he is a complete idiot.
