China’s Green NGO Climate Propaganda Enablers Climate change is a national security threat – but not in the way the national security elite assumes.

This pattern, wherein the West’s enemies use the environmental movement – whether NGOs like Greenpeace, foundations, or “concerned scientists,” to undermine Western interests – is now being repeated, this time in respect to China. A report by Patricia Adams for the London-based Global Warming Policy Foundation released earlier this month lays bare the role of the green movement in acting as China’s propagandists.

Since Xi Jinping became general secretary of the Chinese Communist Party eight years ago, almost everyone who believed China’s communist regime would become more benign internally and less threatening externally has revised his opinion – everyone, that is, apart from climate activists. “Rather than becoming cautious about China’s role in the world, these groups lavish it with praise for its environmental efforts,” Adams notes. NRDC’s head of Asia strategy, Barbara Finamore, has even written a book, Will China Save the Planet? Perhaps the only surprise is the question mark.

all China’s transgressions are ignored by the thousands of “climate” NGOs...who fool themselves that China is a “climate” leader:

26 Dec: Watts Up With That: China recolonizes Africa
Western policies damage Africa and the planet, kill millions, and open doors to China
by Duggan Flanakin
(Duggan Flanakin is Director of Policy Research at the Committee For A Constructive Tomorrow)
Meanwhile, as of 2019, China had 2,363 active coal-fired power plants and was building another 1,171 in the Middle Kingdom – plus hundreds more in Africa, Asia and elsewhere...

Harvard University China specialist Edward Cunningham says China is building, planning or financing more than 300 coal plants, in places as widespread as Turkey, Egypt, Vietnam, Indonesia, Bangladesh and the Philippines. India, South Korea, Japan, South Africa and even Germany are also building hundreds of coal-fired power plants.

Boston University data indicate that China has invested over $50 billion in building new coal plants overseas in recent years, and over a quarter of new coal plants outside the Middle Kingdom have some commitment or offer of funds from Chinese financial institutions.

“Why is China placing a global bet on coal?” NPR wonders. That’s a 40 or even 50-year commitment, the life span of coal-fired units. The NPR authors even quote the Stinson Center think tank’s Southeast Asia analyst, who says “it’s not clear when you look at the actual projects China is funding that they are truly Green.”
They’re obviously not green, and more is obviously going on than their poor eyesight can perceive.

China knows it and the world will need oil, natural gas and coal for decades to come. It sees “green” as the color of money and is happy to extend credit under terms very favorable to China. Communist Party leaders seek global military and economic power – and global control of electricity generation, raw materials extraction, and manufacturing of wind turbines, solar panels and battery modules they will sell to address the West’s obsession with the “manmade climate crisis” and “renewable, sustainable” energy.

Party leaders also know its production of “green” technologies is a good smokescreen for all this coal power – and few Western governments will dare to criticize China sharply over this or Covid…

Environmental movement was started by Soviet Communist and it is being propagated by the Chinese ones.
Their main objective is destroying the capitalism. They want to hurt US and other developed countries, because they are jealous on their achievements.
While the pollutions actually come mostly from the undeveloped countries, hina, India, southeast Asia, Africa, that’s OK. That’s because of racism and colonialism.
On the other hand, the developed countries basically cleaned themselves from most of the real problems by 1980 ties, they are still being attacked.
The global warning is just the greatest tool of communism. Imaginary problem, requiring massive environmental damage to fix it!
By solving global warming we are massively polluting ourselves with “clean energy” chemical pollutants and turning pristine environments into solar and wind farm abys. They are destroyed forever!
Time to start new environmental movement! Targeting the real pollution and the real pollutants!

NRDC was founded in 1970 by a group of law students and attorneys at the forefront of the environmental movement. Today’s leadership team and board of trustees makes sure the organization continues to work to ensure the rights of all people to clean air, clean water, and healthy communities.
