Stage-4 cancer patients can live upto 5 years after diagnosis with good treatment. Could be longer if he can tolerate chemo and keytruda side effects which can be many.

Two awesome men — others of course. But we should be grateful to have the effective influence of both Rush and Trump in our lives.

Cancer isn’t the death sentence we grew up with. Incredible progress made over the decades & years.

Rush is a great American. He appeared at a time when the leftist media had all but silenced true conservative voices, not the sock puppets Gergen, Gigot or Brooks. We faithfully tuned in on radio (and a short time on TV). Could not get enough of him.

We had a voice. This absolutely terrified the left. Here was a conservative lion who roared with grace and humor. He was EQUAL time, as he often remarked. His sweet spirit was disarming and many on the left were converted. All were changed. We continued because he reminded us we were a huge community, sadly ignored, but one persisting in flyover country.

I love Rush. I cannot imagine a world without him.

Still, I hope the show can go on indefinitely: perhaps with rotating hosts. (Like Townhall.com).

Freepers ..some...seem oblivious that Rush told us last month that the meds are not working and it’s day by day and he is terminal

And even though I on occasion disagree with him markedly

I’ve been a fan since 1988

And I’m terribly sorry....America will not be the same and nor will I frankly

No one can replace him and rah rah GOPe way too much which was my beef with the big guy

Same with Trump

I like Steyn and the guy from Little Rock

The rest are too soft on race

Rush is a fixture for me

2020 will be seen as the inflection point in mankind’s history....where individual liberty, capitalism were lost for generations to come.

The loss of individuals, like Trump & Rush are parallels.

While in Florida, Trump should go on Rush’s show. Kinda like Denny Mclain serving up Micky Mantle a meatball for a home run on his last at bat in the majors.

Mrs. Alaska and I were in the car, eating lunch at a fast food joint, when Rush was delivering this address, and having been a Rush listener from the beginning, I was choked up.

As a 24/7 Rush user, I re-listened again last night, and it did seem to be his final acceptance to his disease.

I hope I am wrong and Rush continues for many more years, but if not, his program has been an overall source of knowledge and joy over the years.

Over thirty plus years, there have been a few times when I disagreed with Rush, but overall, 98%+ he has agreed with us {and that makes him smart}.

Rush was the voice that most of us had in our heads, but no one on the air had the balls to say it.

After Rush was a 600 station success, the "conservative talkers" came out of the wood work.

There are some very good, sincere, conservative talkers, but there will never be a dominant force like Rush Limbaugh.

Merry Christmas to Rush and his family and to all FReepers, even the ones I clash with from time to time {they don't even know they are wrong}:):):)

And in the beginning, Rush had a lot more entertainment mixed in with his political talk. His parodies were the best. (I have a couple CDs of them.) I think that helped him get the attention of many listeners early on. Then when he wasn’t able to do that any more, his 1005 talk was just as good.

I was in the car in the Kroger parking lot and I felt like crying. Losing Rush is going to be horrible.

Werewolves in Congress is a classic. It should be taught in the schools as an example of how to do parody songs. It would make a fine set piece in a political science course as well, since it so perfectly skewers democrat scare tactics.

I really didn’t like Rush’s looks back in February when he received the Medal of Honor and was rolled in in a wheelchair. I thought he didn’t have long to live at that time.

My husband was diagnosed with liver cancer and given three months to live by two doctors, the third told us “one very bad year” - he lived for four more years, most of them wonderful and productive, until the cancer finally caught up with him. Each day, like with Rush, was a blessing, a Gift from God.

Each day with Rush is a blessing. I worry each day I don’t hear his voice at the usual time.

What no one mentions is the millions of dollars he has raised and personally paid out to different charities.

Remember back in the 90's when the Senate democrats signed a letter condemning Rush? Rush took advantage of it and put it up for bid in Ebay where a philanthropic grouop paid $2.1 million for it and he matched the money and donated it to the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation.

Then there's his annual Leukemia fund raiser where he also matches the donations.....

Then of course the recent fund raiser where he donated all the proceeds from his line of apparel to the Tunnel to Towers foundation.....over $5 million.

When Trump said he felt like a new man after taking the Covid treatment, I thought of Rush, and that he should try it...

They have both said there will be new uses for all the discoveries they are making.
