California has recorded half a million coronavirus cases in the last two weeks and could have nearly 100,000 hospitalizations in the next month.

Gov. Gavin Newsom acknowledged Monday that a state projection model shows hospitalizations in that range and that he’s likely to extend his stay-at-home order for much of the state.

Originally set for three weeks, the state-mandated shutdown in Southern California was set to expire Dec. 28, according to the California Department of Public Health.

Extend it all you want, Newssolini. Nobody’s paying any attention to it anyway. I’m seeing reports of stores packed full of shoppers, restaurants fully booked, and traffic backed up all over the place in California.

COVID is sooooo amazingly clever - only states with Governors with a (D) after their name are being locked down, so clearly it knows how to spell. This must be the first Artificial Intelligence virus!

People sit shoulder to shoulder like sardines for hours while eating on all the airlines, but when ya land ya better eat outside or just stay home and chow down.

COVID isn’t locking those states down; governors are. Typically overstepping their authority in doing so.

Put the blame where it belongs: the governors.

Governors are locking down their states.
Governors are shutting down businesses.
Governors are putting small businesses out of business forever.
Governors are forcing nursing homes to accept infected patients.

People should be furious and there should be serious recall/impeachment efforts in a bunch of states. Only one I hear about is California. And I’m not sure that one will succeed.

I haven’t been in a packed Aluminum Tube in a couple of years and am unlikely to do so again soon.

Virtual meetings rock; Mountains and snow are now very driveable.

We flew from Boston to San Diego yesterday: There were maybe 30 people on our flight. When we arrived in SD they advised everyone that they would have to fill out paperwork and then quarantine for 14 days. Everyone left the airport without doing a thing. When we got to our hotel we were asked if we were on essential business. We said yup and the girl at the desk said great. That was it.

“Why do the dem voters not give it up? They know it was a fraud, don’t they?”

What’s their incentive for giving it up? Fraud works for them.

LOL! And that is how this nonsense ends, people just ignore it. Time to start ignoring the mask mandates too, although that is not as easy. I envision anti mask meetup groups that plan to arrive at a store or other place that requires masks and go in and shop sans mask. That would do two things, the paranoids would run out of the store, and those anti mask kindred spirits in the store would take theirs off also.
