With news of a second strain in the UK that has shuttered London, U.S. leaders are starting to take precautions. Experts predict that the second variant of the virus is reportedly 70 percent more transmissible than the original strain.
"We will have a new approach, given the new strain we're seeing there," New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) said in a press conference on Wednesday.

I thought passenger flights from UK and Europe were banned back in the spring. How is anybody traveling here from the UK?

How does a governor make rules specific to foreign nations? This is not allowed. Imagine if Texas said no Saudis could travel to Texas without special rules.
This is crap to let governors set foreign policy. Say a Brit ignores his rules, does he think he can deport them?
