Over Half the Country! That's a Lot of People Who Think the 2020 Election was Stolen in Some Way
Townhall ^ | 12/23/2020 | Matt Vespa

The 2020 election is over. Joe Biden came out on top, but allegations of voter fraud remain. We have witness statements, affidavits, and allegations of other funny business that involved the mail-in voting process. There’s a reason why Europe has banned mail-in voting; fraud is likely. At the very least, it presents itself with the opportunity and we all know Democrats would certainly take it. Yet, there was a time issue as well. The legal challenges filed by the Trump campaign and its allies were a total disaster. The courts shot them down. Deadlines have passed. The legal avenue is pretty much over. Still, that doesn’t mean that the feelings of voter fraud and this election being stolen are an extremist position. It’s not.

A new poll from Rasmussen showed that roughly half the country thinks the election was stolen from Trump in some way. Even with the Trump campaign being unable to successfully argue mass fraud in the courts based on what they thought was solid evidence, half the country still thinks there was fraud (via Rasmussen):

____________________________________________________________________________

Most voters say this year’s unprecedented level of mail-in voting was largely successful and continue to think President Trump should concede the presidential race. Republicans, however, strongly believe Democrats are likely to have stolen the election.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 57% of Likely U.S. Voters think mail-in voting worked well for the most part. Thirty-nine percent (39%) disagree and say it led to unprecedented voter fraud in this election. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Forty-seven percent (47%) say it’s likely that Democrats stole voters or destroyed pro-Trump ballots in several states to ensure that Joe Biden would win.

[…]

Sixty-two percent (62%) of Republicans say it’s Very Likely the Democrats stole the election, a view shared by 17% of Democrats and 28% of voters not affiliated with either major party.

____________________________________________________________________________

That’s a sizeable number of Democrats right there.

I mean, there were a lot of ‘look what fell off the truck’ moments regarding these mail-in ballots during the tallying phase. And some of the breakdowns were shoddy to say the least. Some of these results mirrored returns from elections held in South Korea under Park Chung-hee who was a military dictator.

On January 6th, Congress will count and verify the results of the Electoral College. There are Republican members in the House and Senate who will challenge the results. We could be in for a show. Will it be successful in overturning the results? No. I mean, there’s a chance, but we’re talking about hitting it big in the Mega Millions lottery-type of a situation here.

Yet, the GOP should keep the number of Americans who feel this election was fraudulent in mind for their 2022 midterm promise. Maybe offer congressional probes into the voter fraud allegations if you elect Republicans to take over the House. And maybe Trump should appoint a special counsel before he exits to investigate these claims as well.

But this should be an animating factor regarding the GOP voter base come midterm season. It’s not going away. Tens of millions are infuriated over the fraud allegations, so the GOP should weaponize that in the same fashion that the Democrats took the Russian collusion insanity to hamstring the Trump administration. Granted, the exception here is that there’s evidence of 2020 funny business. There was nothing to the collusion claims, which were a pure myth.

You know, that’s not a bad thing. The more people who doubt the election, the less political capital the dems will have.

Yeah, Biden who couldn’t fill a phone booth with 10,000,000 more votes than both O’Bunghole and Hitlery with by far the greatest amounts of votes in history?!? Methinks not

These commentators who assert that voters will turn against the Dems in 2022 forget one huge thing. The Dems have successfully stolen a presidential election in a massive way. What makes anyone think there even will be midterm elections in 2022? If the country goes through the motions of a midterm then, what makes anyone think the Dems won’t continue their thieving ways?

Honest and secure elections are IMPOSSIBLE so long as the paper ballots have no identification of the voter. When Mail in ballot envelopes are separated from the ballot paper inside, it is just too easy to bring in fake paper ballots by truckloads and process them through vote counting machines.

Why do we need secret ballot paper? Heck I am registered as a republican, so obviously the state of Florida knows who I will be voting for. And if someone discovers I voted for Trump along with 70 million+ others why should I be ashamed or get in trouble? The paper ballot should be assigned a number copied from the numbered envelope it was mailed in. That would make it possible to weed out fake ballots and recounts would become meaningful.

In person voting has 2 problems. First the machines are known to be jigged often. And second, even if the machine spits out a paper copy, that paper has no ID of the voter. Again fake ballot stuffing from suitcase full of ballots is impossible to detect during recounts.

The Big Steal is bipartisan.

Just like the Kenyanesian Usurpation, the Democrats could not get away with it without cooperation of the GOP.

“””A new poll from Rasmussen showed that roughly half the country thinks the election was stolen from Trump in some way”””

it is pretty much meaningless that 50% of the American Public thinks that fraud stole the election from Trump.

No one has ever been convicted and imprisoned because the polls said a person may have committed a crime.

Until Law Enforcement arrests people for voter fraud and the judicial system convicts and imprisons those people, the polls are worthless.

I have to disagree. You want the vote to be secret!
The communist held non secret elections. Whoever dared to vote against them was immediately identified and dealt with.
Secret vote is the only way to prevent that kind of abuse!

I agree that the mail in vote is prone to fraud and once the ballots are separate from the envelopes, the fraud is basically improvable. But you do not want to throw out the baby with the bathtub. Your solution would really be Orvelian!

There must be other way - like mandating that representatives of both parties be always present on every step, they they have a voice in the counting, not just be tolerated observers. Improving voter registration, banning mail in vote, making sure the machines are OK.
But the anonymity of the vote must be preserved!

It’s time to be proactive, not reactive to the fraud. Also, proactive now in lining up great candidates for 2022. The GOP needs a national leader to organize this effort - this would be a great role for Don Jr.

This number will continue to grow as more people hear the truth about the election. The evidence is strong.

The above includes the corrupt press telling citizens 24/7 that there was NO fraud. The double whammy here is that half the American people not only feel there was voter fraud taking place, but that the press is lying to them.

Absolutely. The scribblers seem to think that the RATs won’t use massive fraud every time.

F*** the scribblers. Worthless do-nothings.

A group of simplistic solutions to that very real and complex problem:

VOTER PICTURE IDENTIFICATION! India can do it, Mexico can do it, most of the voting world does it, so can the USA.

Paper ballots only. Once you have PERSONALLY fed your ballot into the tabulator, you keep your receipt 72 hours for potential follow-up confirmation. A QR style code is printed on your ballot, and simultaneously copied to your receipt for security purposes.

Make it so that a discrepancy of more than 1 percent between the number of votes recorded, and registered voters that requested ballots including walk-in or absentee, has that entire polling place’s totals rejected.

In-person or absentee voting ONLY. Mail-in is the definition of fraud waiting to happen.

Stained fingers instead of stickers.

Opposite party only counting of ballots. Republicans and libertarians count votes in democrat-leaning precincts and are observed by greens, communists and democrats (but I repeat myself). The opposite for Republican precincts.

Any and every ballot in ANY box “found” after midnight the day of the election is VOID. The same goes for absentee ballots. If they are not received before midnight at the end of voting DAY, they are void.

No more same-day registration.

End motor-voter.

All voters lists purged completely and every voter must re-register EVERY 6 years (Senate election years for their district).

And that’s considering that half the country gets their fake news only from the Propoganda networks.

I just figured out the anonymity issue: Every ballot has a QR code from a short list on it, and the receipt printer has that same small list of those codes to print from randomly, but it can only print one code per ballot inserted. That way no individual ballot can be traced to any individual, but no ballots without a chain of custody can be included easily) into the tabulator.
