President-elect Joe Biden’s digital team has taken issue with Twitter's decision to block Biden from inheriting President Trump’s followers on the platform – a practice at odds with previous presidential transitions.
"In 2016, the Trump admin absorbed all of President Obama's Twitter followers on @POTUS and @WhiteHouse -- at Team 44's urging," Biden Digital Director Rob Flaherty said on Twitter Tuesday. "In 2020, Twitter has informed us that as of right now the Biden administration will have to start from zero."

While I kinda like this, it might be even more fun to let Plugs inherit DJT’s supporters and then see how long it takes for that number to sink like an anvil in a bucket of water!
Of course, knowing Twitter, they’d probably list a fake number of followers, regardless. After all, Biden did receive over 10 million more votes than Obama... (wink)
I would make these three observations:
1. Over the initial first 90 days....a ton of fake followers will be created within Twitter, being ‘friends’ of Joe. It won’t surprise me if 300,000 fake accounts exist by April.
2. I think negative commentary by the public against Joe’s Twitter commentary will be pushed into a ‘locked-down’ state and it’ll be openly discussed by March.
3. Someone will end up admitting by mid-summer that all of Joe’s Twitter comments are fed through his wife before being published. Joe actually doesn’t say or write any of them himself.
As for Trump’s commentary? I think he’ll have a private service set-up and it’ll work the same way as Twitter, with half-a-million of us members of it by spring.
I thought Tweeting was a sign that President Trump was a low class idiot. Now, even though Twitter has banned me, I get email from them with what apparently are Tweets from Joe Biden.
I have to delete them as SPAM myself.

Let him have the followers. It would be hilarious to watch the followers drop.
If President Trump leaves Twatter, I leave with him. That is all.
They want to suspend his personal account, not potus
So, the Biden administration (if there was to be one) would have to buy their own ‘bots to look like he has a massive following. I suppose the Campaign has already taken advantage of contracting with tech groups to create ‘bots, maybe his “administration” can continue that contract.LOL
