A growing number of House Republicans say they will challenge the results of the 2020 presidential election when Congress meets to certify the Electoral College results on Jan. 6.
The latest Republican to say he will do so is Rep.-elect Madison Cawthorn (N.C.), who will be a part of the House when it convenes in early January.
He implored other Republicans to also challenge the results in a video message.
“I have a message for all other Republicans across the country,” Cawthorn said. “If you are not on the record calling for fair, free and just elections now and in the future, I will come to your district and I will fund a primary opponent against you.”

This really is the hill to die on. If the democrats get away with this there is very little hope. Perhaps state legislatures could clean things up but that really needs to come from the Federal level.
I am not easily surprised by human stupidity but I have been on this issue. Lots of “Progressive” types that I have contact with simply don’t get it. If 1000 people or so can rig the election against Trump then they can rig any election any way they want. It is well and good when you agree with them. But, what if you don’t? What the democrats are doing is simply evil on a scale not really seen since 1945.
Honestly, I don’t think Trump can stop it. I think we’re looking at Biden, then whatever puppet the man behind the curtain wants from now on. I hope I am wrong.
I think that John Roberts torpedoed our only real hope. If Trump pulls this out. Roberts should be forced to resign from the court, and when I say forced, I mean at bayonet point if necessary and then, after a fair trial, a life stint in Leavenworth. Schumer, the Piglouse, the CEO of DOminion - Facebook- Twitter - ABC/CBS/NBC/CNN/Fox should co there as well.
Really we need to go full Nuremberg on the Democrats if Trump can pull this out.

It may be too little, too late. They took too many bribes against the interests of citizen voters.

I’m no fan of John Roberts, but I really believe this is not a matter for the courts - yet.
The US Constitution assigns final authority for choosing electors to the state legislatures. If the legislatures of the contested states do not challenge the AG’s certification, it is considered binding.
However, if a state’s legislature votes to decertify, and that decision is ignored - that is a violation of the Constitutional. Then, and only then, does it become a matter for the SCOTUS to decide.
But that hasn’t happened - yet.
The SCOTUS will not challenge the Constitutional authority of state legislatures to determine election laws. But they will uphold that authority if it is being abrogated.
Personally, I think one of three things will happen:
1) The legislatures of several contested states will assemble and vote to decertify Biden electors, depriving Biden/Harris of the required 270, and will certify Trump electors instead, giving him the required 270 electors. The US legislature will count the electoral college votes and confirm President Trump’s re-election.
2) The legislatures of several contested states will assemble and vote to decertify, depriving Biden/Harris of the required 270, but they will not vote to certify President Trump electors. Since neither candidate has the required 270 electors, the House of Representatives will vote by state delegation. Republicans control a majority of state delegations, so President Trump will be re-elected.
3) An insufficient number of contested state legislatures will challenge their state’s certification, allowing Biden/Harris to achieve the required 270 electoral college votes. The certifications will stand and Joe Biden will be sworn in as POTUS January 20th, per the Constitution.
All without the need of the SCOTUS to decide anything.

This is what should have already happened. Strong efforts to primary and recall RINOs and purge the party of its traitors.

NC 11th was also the district the late great Freeper The More or Less Honorable Congressman Billybob (aka John Armor) campaigned for. I miss that guy.

Roberts is one vote of nine. He has no more control over what cases are taken up by the court than any other justice does.

Just so everyone is clear, it wouldn’t matter if all the GOP backed the challenge. It will be overruled by the majority Speaker (Botoxic).
As I posted, if there is a senator and congressman who object, the process is the “tie goes to the runner” and the official state elector slates are those which are accepted.
For any other slate to be accepted, the House and Senate must agree. I don’t even think Trump could get 51 votes in the senate, much less get the House to agree.

As long as David Ralston is the speaker of the house of GA they are not going to decertify anything.
