More than 70 West Point cadets are embroiled in the academy's worst cheating scandal in over four decades.
Seventy-three cadets were caught cheating on a mathematics exam after all of them made the same error on their calculus final back in May.
It's not immediately clear how the cadets - 72 of whom were first-year students at the time - cheated on the test, which was administered remotely due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Of those who allegedly cheated on the test, 58 have admitted to doing so, leading to disciplinary action.

Shit can them.
Cheating is adapting to the systemic racism of Math due to the Patriarchy.
(Was that good?)
You’ve clearly been overexposed to leftists. Go shower.
Since West Point went woke they will probably get off with a few demerits.
My friend’s daughter is at West Point now. The wokeness is stunning. How sad.
Absolutely. Those that are willing to cheat at West Point are those that would end up being the political hacks that the left loves so much. Honor, ethics and honesty, either you have it or you don’t. There is no sliding scale.
It wasn’t bad, but I know people who are a lot better. I’m not very good at it, but I know a younger guy who was more exposed to it in college who can really do it up. And is really good at trolling Leftists with it.
It’s too bad the leadership didn’t test for cheating in a myriad of little ways that were teaching moments starting from Day 1.
We have slipped so far ethically as a nation this does not surprise me. A zoom test because of COVID! Hopefully out future field leaders are prepared for the difficulties in the field.
That’s a shame. West Point used to be a great institution.
The “punishments” are a joke. When I was cadet at USAFA, 88-92, Honor Probation was granted sparingly and usually for an offense that was so minor that you couldn’t be sure if the cadet actually committed it or not. An example might be getting back to the squadron at 8:02 but signing in at 8:00. Cheating on a test was an automatic expulsion. Not even a question with proof. They threw the head of the Econ Depts. son out for cheating. This is why our military academies are failing. There are no standards and they’ve become just another extension of a corrupt society. They would do well to shut them down and send cadets to ROTC. It’s essentiallynthe same education, and the remote learning is a joke. The supposed military in the world is educating their future leaders remotely. Insane.
Clearly, our country rewards cheating, so hey, why not !
Any examples?
Why would this one be any different?
Used to be you got sent home for that.
Now, it’s something that might break the trail to General Officer.
Perfection. Now off to the stockade! 😂
I remember the 1994 Naval Academy cheating scandal.

Officers who graduated with that class were permanently tainted because of the suspicion that they were part of the cohort of cheaters.
In both cases, the cheaters should have been expelled. No exceptions. Integrity is essential for military officers, and it cannot be taught by writing an essay on “cheating is bad”.
Note: I wonder how many of these scum will either plagiarize their essays or pay someone else to write them.
