School crossing guard hit by car in road-rage incident
Close On Thursday, New York City issued a brain-numbing “COVID-19 Dining Update” for restaurants. Among the new rules: Employees would be barred from eating inside any part of the restaurant normally used by patrons. Orders for takeout could only be placed via e-mail or telephone. Most shockingly, patrons dining at a restaurant’s outdoor seating area couldn’t use the restroom inside.
It seemed like Kafkaesque satire for the pandemic age. But no, emblazoned at the top of the notice was the official logo of the Office of the Counsel to the Mayor.

Don’t forget that all those faithful public servants enforcing these rules are “Just Following Orders”
When will people stand-up to this fascistic BS? That said...the majority of NY voters sem to want this type of control by their elected “leaders”. LOL. More popcorn.
Its like the Chinese want us to eat only their crap. They just bought up the best local seafood chain in my area, covid lockdown decimated business. It’ll be Chinese shrimp or no shrimp.
My wife and I watch various shows on the Food Channel like “The Kitchen” and “Beat Bobby Flay”, etc. So often a person is introduced as “the executive chef at ...”. I guess now they are “former executive chefs”, thanks to the governors of NY and CA.
This does not end until enough people rip off the masks and reopen and go back to normal.
State legislatures are effectively to blame for the fraudulent ballot process and allowing their governors to rule unchecked. They need to be held accountable, they are the closest elected officials to the people. The state GOP parties are decimated, they are now just in it for the patronage.
I thought New Yorkers were bad a$$es. How much y’all gonna take from that turd of a mayor?
As Prager has noted repeatedly: "Being on the Left means never having to say you're sorry."
So when does the revolutuon begin? When do people stand up?
Folks we need to study our revolutionary war beginnins. We are told much of this began because the British took over private homes. But I am sure there were many other little rules being perpetuated.
Remember, a third supported the crown, a third didn’t care and a third were REALLY PISSED OFF.
But Cuomo is a big turd too.
And now, the NEW & IMPROVED... UPDATED TOO!

Why do you go to the city?
To eat at a nice fancy restaurant? - Nope
To attend an artistic performance or show? Nope
To visit with friends and family? Nope
To shop for items not found elsewhere? Nope
Cities are becoming useless. There is no reason to live or visit there.
I have acquaintances who live close in to the city. Although housing, food and almost everything is more expensive, they have long been smug about the culture, the shops and the quaint communities they live in.
When I point out that most of that is now gone, destroyed and may never return, they hate me.
When cities lost their original purpose of industry, they became just population centers. And as of 2020, who wants to live in a crowd?
From the article. Round and round we go.
“In the beginning,” he recalls, “they said they’re going to allow propane heaters. But then they said you can’t have them on the street side or on the outside of the sidewalk. Then they said you can’t keep the propane tanks on your property and must store them at a different location every night. So that was a wasted purchase.”
He continues: “We capsuled the outdoor seating, so every table has its own personal area. The Health Department said it’s good. Then the Fire Department said we need a door, and it should be closed. Then yesterday, we got an email from the city that the door can’t be closed, because the space needs to be open on two sides. We keep investing money but what’s the criteria to open indoor dining again? We have no idea.”
