Kenney ‘profoundly disappointed’ in federal transfers for Alberta

Alberta’s premier is “profoundly disappointed” in the amount of money the province will receive through federal transfer payments next year.

Jason Kenney made the statement in a news release in response to a letter from Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland Thursday containing details on the funding the province will receive for 2021-2022.

Alberta will receive over $6.8 billion in health and social transfers according to Freeland — an increase of $217 million from this year.

Under the current formula Alberta does not qualify for an equalization payment.

He said in the last 10 years alone, Alberta has contributed more than $200 billion despite unprecedented economic challenges in the last five.

Provinces receive money from the Feds for health services under the Canada Health Act. Canada also has an 'Equalization Formula whereby 'have' Provinces fund 'have not' Provinces. Alberta has paid over $200 BILLION net into this scheme over the last ten years, in spite of the Feds under True-dope, doing EVERYTHING they can to destroy our oil and gas industry, AND our ability to pay such 'equalization' payments.

The reader will note that I have included this under the 'Crime/Corruption' topic. The reason being, that if True-dope is involved, like Xi JinBiden Joe, it must be assumed that 'corruption', if not 'crime', is involved.

I agree completely! And this comment coming from someone Ontario born and bred, someone of UEL stock! My country has long ago left me. The Canada that stood tall during two world wars and fought against US expansionism in the War of 1812, has long since wimped out. At least in my lifetime, it’s demise began with Pearson, expanded greatly under Rocky Waterhole, and has expanded exponentially under his (or Fidel’s) spawn, the current Prime Mistake of Canada.

I fear that there are so few who would choose freedom over tyranny in AB, and especially in BC, that we will never leave the Quebec controlled Kanadahar. We’ll continue to be their indentured servant. They’ll continue to steal our treasure until there is nothing left.

If Xi JinBiden is successful in his coup against the people of the US, we’ll be landlocked, surrounded by leftists who would steal our wealth, squeeze us like an orange, and then toss away the remains.

An Alberta friend of mine sent me a Christmas card (remember them??). This year I noticed his return address said "Alberta, Western Canada"

I could easily see a new country of (at least) the Prairies, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming and the Dakotas. Of course, it would be an island and, for that reason, would never happem

Nobody cares about Canada.
It’s a third world country like the democrat led United States.

When I lived in Alberta I never told my American friends that I was living in Canada. I told them I was living in Alberta.

If each of the U.S. states was a separate country, Alberta’s largest trading partner would be China. Their second largest trading partner would be OHIO. Go figure. That’s just one of those odd things you learn from doing business on both sides of the border.

The new country would not be an land-locked. It would have plenty of ports on the Gulf of Mexico when it joined up with New Texas.

No one wants to kill Jason Kenney, or at least, I don’t. Perhaps a kick in the ass for folding to True-dope and the commiecrats (bureaucrats) in d’Ottawa!

Unfortunately, though AB is a ‘conservative’ Province, at least from a Canadian perspective, it would most likely be a ‘blue’ state. If, however, the demonrats are successful in their coup, I have no desire to be part of what would become the USSA; ‘better the devil you know, than the devil you don’t’. Of course, if the coup is successful, I don’t see freedom ever returning. As Orwell wrote: ‘If you want a vision of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face - forever.’ Or at least until Chriat returns.

I am familiar with the Southpark reference. I am just not in a very jovial mood.

Jason Kenney is the Premier of Alberta. I believe that he is more interested in being Prime Minister of Canada, than standing up STRONGLY for Alberta.
