President Trump on Friday discussed naming Sidney Powell, who as a lawyer for his campaign team unleashed conspiracy theories about a Venezuelan plot to rig voting machines in the United States, to be a special counsel overseeing an investigation of voter fraud, according to two people briefed on the discussion.
It was unclear if Mr. Trump will move ahead with such a plan.
Most of his advisers opposed the idea, two of the people briefed on the discussion said, including Rudolph W. Giuliani, the president’s personal lawyer. In recent days Mr. Giuliani has sought to have the Department of Homeland Security join the campaign’s efforts to overturn Mr. Trump’s loss in the election.

NYT! Is ANY of it true. I don’t think the stuff about Trump ejecting Sidney from the legal team is true. I think Rudy did that. And what has Rudy accomplished since then? I’ve heard nothing. Powell and Wood have made a few waves. That’s about it. But as for the NYT; at least 10 lbs of salt.

Giuliani said, instead, on Bannon’s war room that he supports having two special prosecutors, one for the election fraud and the other for Bidens deals. He also said that some advisors in the whitehouse were not in favor of special investigators.

If you goal is to make a splashy headline then by all means go ahead and do it. If your goal is to accomplish something that will actually root out the fraud that is supposed to be widespread throughout the election process then appoint someone competent instead.
