Global rich must cut their carbon footprint 97% to stave off climate change, UN says
CBS News ^ | December 16, 2020 | By Irina Ivanova

This year's economic shutdowns have done little to reduce the world's carbon emissions. While pollution has dipped, greenhouse gases keep accumulating in the atmosphere, locking in future decades of climate disruption and extreme weather. A recent United Nations report says the so-called emissions gap - the "difference between where we are likely to be and where we need to be" on climate policy - is as big as ever.

As for who's chiefly responsible for the gap, it's the global rich, the report says. Just 10% of the world's population emits nearly half of the world's carbon pollution. The top 1% of income earners around the world, a group that includes 70 million people, account for 15% of emissions - more than the 3.5 billion people in the bottom 50%.

The upshot: When it comes to cutting their emissions, "The richest 1% would need to reduce their current emissions by at least a factor of 30, while per capita emissions of the poorest 50% could increase by around three times their current levels on average," the U.N. says. That translates into a reduction of 97% in carbon emissions for the wealthiest people.

And this is exactly what the Harris administration will want to enforce here in America. One of the first things they want to do will be to re-join the Paris climate accord nonsense .

Models and data gathering is loaded with error. The error compounds as you move out into the future. By the time you get 50 years into the future, the Error Cone is so large that it obscures any impact of efforts to curb Global Warming.

In other words - NOTHING you can do today is enough to even be visible 50 years from now. If the USA quit driving, flying and heating our homes - 50 years from now you could not observe an impact.

Good luck fixing something that you cannot measure.

Let Bill Gates, Tom Steyer, George Soros, Jeff Bezos, Zuckerberg, the Koch brothers and the other billionaires who want to tell the rest of us how to live begin to feel the impact of the policies they advocate:

1) Share the wealth - Redistribute 50% of the their net worth in the first year. Again each year until net worth is less than $50 million. That is more than enough for any human being.
2) Higher taxes - 90% tax rate on annual income over $1,000,000. They complain their taxes are too high
3) Limit of one home no more than 2000 square feet. Must reduce the carbon footprint. Until their house is sold, they will be required to take in Section 8 tenants
4) Private jets - take them away and scrap them. Must reduce the carbon footprint. Fly on public airlines if you must go somewhere.
5) Yachts - again, scrap them. Must reduce the carbon foot print.
6) Motor vehicles - Limit of one 4 cylinder fossil fueled vehicle or one Prius. Must reduce the carbon footprint.
7) Walls and fences around homes - Must be torn down just as they advocate for the border.
8) Personal security - No personal bodyguards and no personal arms. Walk the talk.
9) Children - cannot attend elite private insinuations. Must attend public schools and public universities. Privilege is bad.
10) Medical care - No more than an Obamacare bronze plan. Again, we need to eliminate privilege.
11) Private clubs - Banned. Again, we must eliminate privilege.

And guess what? Every American, including the single mom working second shift at Walmart, is considered the ‘global rich’ by these twats. Of course, to coordinate all this cutting back, they will each have to fly their own private jet to Switzerland, Bali, etc. every year...

Surprisingly most of the uber-rich have net negative carbon footprints. That is because they invest most of their money in new technologies meant to make them richer, which has the side effect of using energy more efficiently. Money is data, and at its root money is data about energy consumption. The way to get rich in a free market is to produce a product cheaper than competitors can. This is mainly done by using less energy and indirectly generating less pollution.

How much money is already given to foreign countries per year?
That’s paid out via our tax bills.

you have to understand that they WANT to be devoured. They hate themselves, they hate kids, they hate humanity and they hate G-d.

It’s a collective suicide pact.
