AOC Trashes Joe Biden’s ‘Corporate Revolving Door’ Team: ‘It’s Horrible’

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is trashing President-Elect Joe Biden’s “revolving door” transition team of corporate insiders and special interests, calling it “horrible.”

During an interview with The Intercept’s Jeremy Scahill of the Intercepted podcast, Ocasio-Cortez was asked about Biden’s choice to give cabinet positions and transition team spots to Washington, D.C. insiders, McKinsey consultants, Big Tech employees, and Wall Street executives.

Scahill called Biden’s transition team a “corporate revolving door” while Ocasio-Cortez noted Biden’s seemingly total rejection of left-wing populism that has, in some cases, allied with right-wing populists on issues of stimulus checks for Americans and ending foreign wars.

The disparate elements of the Democrat party all assumed that they would be able to dominate demented Joe Biden and now the struggle for control begins. AOC has not much in common with the interests of Goldman Sachs. Goldman Sachs, entirely sold out to China, has nothing in common with the needs of Democrat voting African-Americans out of work.

There are opportunities for Republicans here, perhaps in the House with the margin so fine, to break apart the very artificial confection of disparate interests that make up Biden's base.

The theft as you point out was enormous and the ramifications are equally chilling. The fact of the matter is, or soon will be, that the Democrats have flat-out stolen a national election and have got away scot-free.

The ramifications include the stark reality that there is no single institution in America that is willing to stand against this mortal threat to our democracy. Not the media, not Hollywood, not Wall Street and big business, not big tech, not the Department of Justice, not the Senate, not the House, not the American Bar Association, not the Supreme Court or any other part of the justice system, not any prominent university, not, alas, the Republican Party as a whole.

In short, the rank-and-file of constitutional conservatives are alone and exposed. These are not people who take to the streets and riot, they are hardly likely to take to the streets at all and when they do, as they did as a Tea Party, they clean up their own refuse after themselves. These are hardly the stuff of revolution.

The ramification: the Democrat party is utterly free to commit whatever depredations the most extreme of its rapacious factions demand.

We are not without hope, but we are nearly without tools.
