Donald Trump’s refusal to accept his electoral defeat is alarming, but unsurprising. It is Mr. Trump’s character to reject even reality itself when it conflicts with his ego. More alarming is the long list of state and national Republican leaders cravenly falling in line behind his desperate efforts to topple American democracy.
On Friday, the Supreme Court rejected a Texas lawsuit to overturn the election, a legal challenge that was as frivolous as it was anti-constitutional. Yet more than 60 percent of House Republicans signed a supporting brief, joining 18 Republican attorneys general who filed their own and embraced entirely the unreality of Trumpism by lending their names to undoing an election that put them in office.
These were not just fringe elements. The minority leader Kevin McCarthy and the whip Steve Scalise signed their names, as did the incoming ranking member for the powerful House Energy and Commerce Committee, Cathy McMorris Rodgers. Some, such as Kevin Brady, Bill Flores and Ann Wagner, were Republicans who the NeverTrump movement once hoped would break with the president once we made him an electoral loser.

Ye he only got way more votes than any other President for re-election. Expanded the base to include more blacks and Hispanics etc... He is a real divider that one.
Welcome to the clown media analysis done by the clown Republicans
The self-delusion of people like him never fails to astound me. He only gets attention because the The New York Times wants/needs a "Republican" to be their tool to criticize the GOP. Otherwise, nobody would care about him.
These never Trumpers they do realize not a single solitary one of them can win an election on a national level right and that being Pro China, Pro Foreign Intervention and Wars, and Open Borders this isn’t the GOP of 20 years ago with the Bush Family
A couple weeks ago I happened to look at the 2016 voting in Utah.
I saw that crazy Third Party vote share - 21% maybe? - and I thought, “Who the heck is this guy!”
When I read the link on this thread, I realized that McMullin was that guy.
I doubt almost all of the bribe and blackmail theories I read on Free Republic.
But, what McMullin and Kellyanne’s husband were doing before the 2020 election was so bizarre and so senseless, I cannot help but suspect bribery.
Who is “we” McMuffin? Go away and take Pierre Delecto with you.
Who is this “we” you speak of, Egg McMuffin?
McMuffin doesn’t seem to remember that he tried that and failed. Trump has been so popular because he represents and fights on behalf of the Republican base. RINOs like McMuffin only represent some of the donor elites and a tiny number of regular voters.
All 1500 RINO’s kicking out 75 million conservatives and they think they will still win, right, but at least they will be a BIG TENT party. Trump missed an excellent opportunity to rip out the Egg McMuffins by the roots at the national level and state party levels. 99% of the GOP that control the political levers of power are leftist. Failure to destroy this cabal of communists from within gets you what occurred in Georgia and Michigan where the GOP state party cut and run or flat out sided with their comrades in the Democrat party.
Very entertaining, this guy writes toilet paper fantasy, read once, wipe, flush.
Egg McMuffin doesn’t understand politics at all.
