Jackson DeLude, an 8-year-old double-amputee and Buffalo resident, received a dream vacation to Disney World with a twist -- a set of prosthetic blades that would allow him to run properly, which he hadn't been able to do because of his partially-developed legs being amputated when he was an infant.

They could have remained a staunch supporter of our nation.

Now they have to pull heroics out of their ass.

No thanks.

Their infected colin, spread to the whole body of the NFL.

OMG, I had no idea they were, or could be, that much.

My dad lost one of his legs in the early 1960s and we never talked about the cost of his prosthetics, which I’m sure we would have if the expense had put any strain on family finances. Sometimes low-tech is better than hi-tech!

I hope this kid grows up always able to afford his blades and never has to do without.

Yes, real expensive from what I gather on this thread. Too bad they can't come up with some kind of tough plastic that'd be just as springy and durable as the alloy ones, but cheap, and wear like shoe leather.

Well, mine is a “C” leg, that is a computer controlled leg...It is a huge aid in movements for active people...fishing, golf, hiking etc...

A hydraulic leg is much cheaper and is still very functional...It is around $15,000.....

I have given up on the NFL. This does show there are still at least two good guys left.

we need to support the good guys wherever we can. Now is not the time to be silent.

I don’t give a damn if you think what they did was “heroics”...

They did a damn good thing for this kid....I lost one leg and it is a bitch...This kid lost BOTH and these guys gave the kid the help he needed to do something most people (like you) take for granted...

Forget the effing NFL for this and just think about what they did for the kid....

How do you back the good guys, without the whole league
claiming you support them all? It’s not always possible.

I grew up with my grandfather who had one leg missing.

While I appreciate what these guys did, I also recognize
that they are a part of an organization that is trying to
destroy the nation I grew up in.

Did they resign that organization? Will they still get their
money from an organization trying to destroy my homeland?

Good for the kid.

Screw these two sellouts.
