OMG, I had no idea they were, or could be, that much.

My dad lost one of his legs in the early 1960s and we never talked about the cost of his prosthetics, which I’m sure we would have if the expense had put any strain on family finances. Sometimes low-tech is better than hi-tech!

I hope this kid grows up always able to afford his blades and never has to do without.

Well, mine is a “C” leg, that is a computer controlled leg...It is a huge aid in movements for active people...fishing, golf, hiking etc...

A hydraulic leg is much cheaper and is still very functional...It is around $15,000.....
