It’ll be the hottest year no matter what the raw data is. I know how modern “science” works. It is as corrupt as any other area of society.
Our society is yearly more and more corrupt. This affects every profession. Science research more than some others. After all, you can see if a bridge is built improperly. You can’t easily tell if the people at the Large Hadron Collider are misinterpreting data and making false wild promises to justify more billions for an even larger collider.
I ask climate scientists if today were 15,000 years ago, would they be trying to save the North American and European ice sheets? I have never gotten an answer, not one. I did get blocked on Twitter for telling a climate scientist that for most life year-round ice sucks.
NBER is made up of cultural elitists, who reside on large income streams.
Because of their status, they have the power to say what is deemed by their “liberal” (actually socialist) commonality, to be politically correct . . . and then continue to prosper on the income streams.
It is a Club for Socialism.
That which proceeds brutal socialism, but all the while fantisizes that thru the Club’s leadership, the terror and tyranny of socialism will not “ultimately” occur.
The essential thought within the Club for Socialism, is that the Constitution and all statutes are entirely subject to what the Club means by saying “the rule of law” -— that is *their rule*
-— contrary to what you and I understand to be the rule of law.
By their rule, all law is by them and the judiciary -— and our Constitution is only relevant when it can be gamed.
The law, for them, is a game.
The statistics, for them, are game board tokens.
The Club for Socialism, are the stockholders of the game.
The NBER, is one of the players, in the Club for Socialism.
The environment has tokens, one of which, is “Global Warming.”
The game includes a requirement that all tokens exist only by supporting arguments.
Something like the stocks of the stock market. The token attracts a lot of attention by itself; but the token only exists on the basis of supporting arguments.
The Club Membership are obsessed with the supporting arguments.
That is somewhat like blockchain, where “currency” is a concept supported by complex technology.
To wit: the Club for Socialism Membership, spend most of their time on keeping the tokens of interest to them, on the game board.
NBER is a major player.
I’m about to get up to 18 inches of global warming where I’m at.
(Do I believe global waring is real? YES! Do I believe we should ruin our energy sector and the rest of the economy over the issue? NO!)
China is back in business, though. While our carbon output was gradually falling PRIOR to COVID, that country is basically one giant carbon fart.
Is this before or after the NOAA “adjusted” the data?
Key words...”on record”. As with “it only matters who counts the votes”, it only matters who keeps the records. Remember the emails a few years back among climate whackos adjusting the numbers to match the desired results from their computer models?

Even if China was still emitting the same as before the plague (which it didn’t) the rest of the industrial world has been in lockdown and emitting a lot less, so the net co2 emitted has decreased significantly.
I think this is BS. I run a weather station. In fact, actually two weather stations. They are NOT some cheapo toy stations like most that are proliferating in the Truckee Meadows. They are Davis VP2 stations. So you might say I’m a weather station elitist.
I have 20 years of weather data. Half of the years is my data and the other half from a nearby county operated station on a golf course. 2014 was the hottest year in the last 20. It was 1.4 °F hotter than this year.

So much or auto pollution causing global whining, we reduced it by half.
How does one compare temperature records when historic records measured only surface temperatures in certain areas and now we use satellite measures that do not necessarily reflect surface temperature? We also need some benchmark to to determine hotter than what? Is there an agreed upon ideal temperature for the earth to determine if a year is hooter or colder? What is this temperature and how is it calculated and from what data is it determined?
