A Queens critical care nurse who has been on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic has become the first person in New York – and the first person in the US – to receive Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine.
Sandra Lindsay, a critical care nurse at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, was vaccinated with the first dose of the two-dose shot on-camera at around 9:20 a.m. at the Queens hospital as Gov. Andrew Cuomo looked on via livestream

And the doctor who administered the shot was also black and female. A massive PR campaign is underway to convince people — esp. suspicious blacks — to get the jab. This is only the start.
