People should remember that Andrew Cuomo was personally responsible for setting off the housing crisis, when he was Attorney General for Bill Clinton.
It was the fair housing act and other such nonsense created by Carter and Clinton that tried to Increase black ownership of houses, by ridiculous government mandates.
It wasn’t working very well because banks would do the normal business of banks, which was to make sure you qualified for a loan before they gave you one.
You know, like you had to have a job and you had to purchase a house within your means...
They invented the new evil term “redlining”, and told the public how evil it was to make sure people could pay back a loan.
So Andrew Cuomo sued the Bank of America for refusing to make bad loans, calling it racist. In front of a liberal judge he got what was then the biggest judgment in history.
The banks then realized they could either not make a bad loan and get sued, or make a bad loan and the Government would guarantee it.
So they made billions in bad loans.
Carter and Clinton created the bomb, Andrew Cuomo lit the fuse.
