Report: NYC Homelessness Hits Record Levels During Coronavirus Pandemic

Homeless advocates reported this week that the coronavirus pandemic has pushed the New York City shelter population to record numbers, according to CBS New York.

The advocates described the numbers as “astronomical,” saying that for the first time, the number of single adults sleeping in Department of Homeless Services shelters has grown to more than 20,000.

“That includes an all-time record of 15,369 single men — and a near record of 4,841 single women — in October, the latest statistics available,” the article read.

If it really was a pandemic, wouldn’t we see thousands and thousands of homeless piled up dead in the streets since they don’t wear masks or practice social distancing?

Of course homelessness, like code pink, disappeared as soon as a Democrat was in office.

There’s no underlying economic reason for people in NYC to be homeless during this fiasco, since there’s been a moratorium on foreclosures and evictions in place for months now.

I suspect a lot of these homeless are losers from other places who have migrated to NYC.

In the Los Angeles area, drug-addled, mentally deranged homeless have more rights than YOU do.

They sleep where they want, hang out where they want, poop, pee and shoot up in plain sight of businesses, schools, churches and homes.

If they wish to put up a tent in front of your house - good luck. Across the street from the school? NO problem. One recently died in a homeless encampment across the street from a local public school. Police did nothing except haul the body away.

I noticed a few taking up residence in a beautiful city park right next to a brand new play area.

They are taking over the city - and I’m at a point where they can have it. Two of my neighbors are departing for Idaho and Texas after the new year - homes are up for sale.
