JK Rowling has called for an end to the 'climate of fear' around the trans debate after being sent 'heart-breaking' letters from women who had irreversible gender reassignment surgery.
The Harry Potter author, 55, said she 'had a huge postbag' with hundreds of letters following her comments over the summer, adding that 90 per cent of them were in support of her stance.
She told Good Housekeeping magazine: 'Many women are concerned about the challenges to their fundamental rights posed by certain aspects of gender identity ideology.'
It comes after Keira Bell, 23, brought legal action against the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust, which runs the UK's only gender identity development service for children, for putting her on puberty blockers at the age of 16.
Ms Rowling today called for 'a more nuanced conversation' about the 'huge increase' in the number of girls and young women seeking to transition.

Grown adults that make these decisions should have to live with the consequences. Same with tattoos, face metal, and other ridiculous body disfigurations. Remember, they keep saying it's "Their Body." Well, they can live with it. No sympathy from me.
A young girl scared about puberty, about menstruation, sex - the whole crazy mess - thinks avoiding it by becoming a boy is possible. Then these sick sex criminals destroy her physically and psychologically by injecting hormones and even carving up flesh. Unbearable to think about.
Remembering back to those early teen years, and looking back at how pliable that young mind can be. How frightening these people making those moves to manipulate the young for whatever maniacal aims they have. These children are completely victiimized.

We keep losing debates like these, not because we’re wrong or because people don’t agree with us, it’s because we’re UNABLE to understand our enemy.
We think they’re ‘just like us, with a different opinion’, which is TOTALLY WRONG, at least on this issue.
What they are doing here, by winning on this issue (and like or not they are winning), is saying that they can RULE OVER US on any issue, which is the case here, considering that something like 0.05% of the country is actually trans. And they were testing us, to see how hard we’d fight back. We didn’t...not to speak of. In the UK, it was only the Muslims who seriously pushed back - here, we just duck and ignore.
Now, having established that power over us, it’s on to children and animals for their ‘expansion’ of ‘sexual rights’. Just watch.

Any doctor who performs this surgery ought to lose their license permanently and spend 20 years in prison for crimes against humanity.
As well as the same body parts that they removed from their victims.
