I would offer these three observations.
1. This is just the first of a number of financial organizations who will find their way into Florida or Texas.
2. I would imagine at least twenty of the more known hotels in NY City....will wrap up business and attempt to sell their operation.
3. If baseball can’t return to a normal year in 2021 financially...watch the Yankees to discount their players and dump around ten of them.
This has yet to be confirmed.
My bet is that Government Sachs is trying to extort money out of the city and/or state.
If they get it, they’ll stay.

Decades ago I was finishing up my MBA at a well-known school that shall not be named. :-)
Goldman Sachs tried to recruit me. I told them I would _never_ work in New York City, but if they moved their HQ to a warm climate I would be happy to talk to them.
The recruiter laughed and said “Yeah, I get it.”
It looks like future MBAs won’t have that issue. :-)

My daughter used to work for JP Morgan ( 3 years ) in Financial Planning. They offered to relocate her office to Plano, Texas from their office in New Jersey ( just across the river from Manhattan ) ( she rented an apartment in Manhattan ).
For some reason, she refused to move to Texas and got another job instead.
Their division is now in Texas.

4. If these big financial firms are considering moving to Florida, then they know all the talk about Florida going under water due to Global Climate Change is a bunch of hooey.
One of the poorest assumptions American voters make is that Democrat candidates want to do what is best for the entity they are elected to govern.
De Blasio could care less about New York City.
He’s in it for himself.
You have to threaten his freedom or pocketbook to get his attention.
