Judge dismisses Flynn case following pardon from Trump Associated Press

A federal judge on Tuesday dismissed the criminal case against former Trump administration national security adviser Michael Flynn, two weeks after a pardon from the president effectively ended the case.

The order from U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan was largely procedural in light of the pardon from President Donald Trump, which wiped away Flynn's conviction for lying to the FBI during the Russia investigation.

Sullivan made clear in a 43-page order that he was compelled to dismiss the case because of the pardon. But he also stressed that a pardon, by itself, did not mean that Flynn was innocent. Flynn had twice pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his contacts during the presidential transition period with the Russian ambassador.

“The history of the Constitution, its structure, and the Supreme Court’s interpretation of the pardon power make clear that President Trump’s decision to pardon Mr. Flynn is a political decision, not a legal one,” Sullivan wrote. "Because the law recognizes the President’s political power to pardon, the appropriate course is to dismiss this case as moot.

Well, Mr. Sullivan is right - a pardon does not confer innocence. But having prosecutors DROP THE CHARGES sure as hell does. So what does he have to say about that little part?

A 43 page orderr that only required one page, maybe two when you include the header?

The judge is compromised by his personal and political bias and should’ve recused his sorry ass long ago.

That he did not shows that his integrity is also compromised.

He coulda been a contender, now he’s just another cypher but, what the heck, he’s got his payoff money in an offshore account somewhere so he couldn’t give two shits what I think.

Judge Emmett Sullivan is a joke! He only kept the case against Flynn active until after the election because he is a full fledged democrat. And he suggested he would keep it going after Trump pardoned Flynn because he was embarrassed into it. He realized he had no case at all after the DOJ dropped the case and the President pardoned him. This is now an attempt to cover what he was doing. What a phoney!

Sullivan knows his robes no longer hide his corrupt ass and that there’s nobody on the planet that doesn’t understand he has a personal, spiteful, vendetta and agenda.

Now it’s time for Flynn to spill his guts and tell us where the bodies are buried.

He is suppose to know about all of the shenanigans Obama and his juanta committed. Unless SCOTUS gives Trump a hail mary, this will be Flynn’s last best chance to tell us what he knows.
